Swansea City 4-0 Llanfair United<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their first game of the competition, the Swans easily handled Genero Adran North side Llanfair United to progress to the last eight. After Aimee Deacon put them ahead in the first half, Jamie Sherwood\u2019s side went into a different gear after the break as strikes from Chloe Chivers, Emily Thomas, and Emily Richards secured a comfortable victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caldicot Town 1-6 The New Saints<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Lexi Jones put the Saints ahead after half an hour at Jubilee Way, you thought the tie would only go one way. However, Rianne Jones struck an unlikely equaliser before the break for Caldicot, and questions were raised over what the Saints could do. But they answered those questions very quickly. A hat-trick from Chantelle Teare, coupled with goals from Caitlin Chapman and Lia Lewis sealed a big win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarter-Finals<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Cascade 0-5 Swansea City<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cascade had knocked out Genero Adran Premier side Cardiff Met in the previous round, but the Swans dodged this potential banana skin with ease. After Emily Richards and Stacey John-Davis put them two up at the break, Swansea kept up their dominance in the second half. John-Davis went on to complete her hat-trick, while youngster Jasmine Guymer also got herself on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New Saints 1-0 Cardiff City<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 minutes into their game against the current Genero Adran Trophy holders, TNS were handed a major boost, as City\u2019s Mikayla Cook was shown a straight red card. Shauna Duffy\u2019s side took full advantage by taking the lead midway through the first period through Olivia Buckland, and despite pressure from the Bluebirds, the Saints held on to record a monumental win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semi-Finals<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Wrexham 2-3 Swansea City<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facing Genero Adran Premier opposition for the first time in the competition, Swansea got off to the perfect start, as Aimee Deacon put them ahead after two minutes. And when Stacey John-Davis dispatched her penalty before the break, everything was looking rosy in the Swans\u2019 Garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Carra Jones hit one back after the hour mark to give Wrexham hope, yet Emily Richards found the third goal eight minutes from time. Liv Fuller struck home a consolation five minutes into stoppage time, but it didn\u2019t matter in the end, as Swansea reached a second consecutive Genero Adran Trophy final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New Saints 3-2 Briton Ferry<\/strong> Llansawel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When two of the Genero Adran Premier title chasers were pitted against each other, you felt it was going to be an entertaining affair, and the game certainly lived up to the billing. A Lucy Powell penalty and a Maia Owen goal had Ferry two up for the vast majority of the game, but with ten minutes remaining, the Saints mounted an unbelievable comeback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily Ridge found the first goal, before Maria Francis-Jones found the back of the net in stunning fashion to restore parity with three minutes of normal time remaining. Then, in the second minute of stoppage time, the ever-reliable Chantelle Teare completed the turnaround, as TNS reached their first ever major cup final.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
