Abbie Iddenden scored a stunning hat-trick as Wrexham earned a 4-2 win over Genero Adran Premier champions Cardiff City at Central Park on Sunday. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Wrexham had a goal ruled out for handball early on, Cardiff took the lead in the eighth minute when Laura Curnock latched onto a loose ball and lashed past Liz Craven. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Red Dragons turned the game around by half-time as Rosie Hughes turned in the rebound from Lili Jones\u2019 saved volley in the 20th<\/sup> minute, before Iddenden produced a remarkable lob which beat Cardiff goalkeeper Anna Phelps five minutes before the break. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lily Billingham made it 2-2 six minutes into the second half when she fired home from the edge of the box, but the Bluebirds were only level for four minutes as Iddenden restored Wrexham\u2019s lead with a clinical half volley into the bottom corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iddenden then completed her treble shortly after the hour mark by curling past Phelps for her eighth goal in five matches. It meant that Wrexham completed a Phase Two double over Cardiff, ahead of their meeting in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup final at the end of this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardiff Met are already relegated, but they ensured that they will not end the season winless as they triumphed 2-0 away at Barry Town United. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruby Colleton put the Archers ahead in the 18th<\/sup> minute as she raced onto Liv Barnes\u2019 through ball and slotted past Molly Arnesen. Molly Chapman, who was making her first start of 2025 following a long term injury, then doubled the lead nine minutes before half-time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry searched for a way back into the game after the break, but Charlotte Smith held firm in the Met goal to maintain her clean sheet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New Saints claimed their first win of Phase Two as they defeated Briton Ferry Llansawel 2-1 at The Renewable Centre Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chantelle Teare gave TNS the dream start in south Wales as she rose highest to head home from Maria Francis-Jones\u2019 free-kick after just 10 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferry equalised on the half hour mark as Saints goalkeeper Mackenzie Haydn-Jones produced a stunning save to tip Megan Kearle\u2019s header onto the crossbar, only for the Reds striker to provide a simple finish on the rebound. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Rhys James\u2019 side were only level for five minutes as Teare laid the ball off to Lia Lewis on the edge of the box and the Saints captain found the bottom corner with a sweet strike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teare thought she had doubled her tally for the afternoon midway through the second half, but her finish past Courtney Young was ruled out for offside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swansea City earned a fourth consecutive victory as they triumphed 3-1 away at Aberystwyth Town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nia Jones headed home the rebound from Taite Trivett\u2019s saved effort to open the scoring for the Swans after just eight minutes, before Aber defender Josie Pugh turned Trivett\u2019s low cross into her own net to make it 2-0 just before the half hour mark. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hosts responded almost immediately as Lily Moralee-Hughes capitalised on a defensive mix up between Steph Turner and Charlie Haynes to pull a goal back, but Swans substitute Maddy Murray sealed victory late on as she sent a thunderous effort from distance beyond Chelsea Herbert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
