The final team in next season\u2019s Genero Adran Premier will be decided on Sunday 20 April as Genero Adran South champions Pontypridd United face Genero Adran North champions Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads in the promotion play-off at Latham Park (KO 12:30). <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is everything you need to know. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The season so far<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

After relegation from the Genero Adran Premier last season, a young, revitalised Pontypridd United side set about bouncing back at the first attempt but faced a competitive Genero Adran South which saw the title race go down to the final day with three teams all level on points. The Dragons lifted the trophy thanks to a 4-0 win over Llanelli Town, while title rivals Swansea University and Cascade played out a draw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ponty also reached the Bute Energy Welsh Cup semi-finals this season, knocking out top-flight Aberystwyth Town along the way, before defeat to Wrexham at Latham Park last month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads have finished as runners-up in the Genero Adran North in the last two campaigns, but have not faltered this season \u2013 winning all 14 of their league matches to win the title by 11 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordan Parry\u2019s side scored 67 goals while conceding just six on their way to the title and showed their credentials against Genero Adran Premier opposition in a narrow 2-1 defeat to Cardiff City in the Genero Adran Trophy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players to watch<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Nicole Fenton \u2013 Pontypridd United<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fenton\u2019s two goals in the win over Llanelli on the final day of the Genero Adran South season took her tally to 11 for the season, securing the division\u2019s golden boot in the process. The 20-year-old has been a key creator for Pontypridd too, contributing six assists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polly Wild-McGregor \u2013 Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wild-McGregor may only be 19 years old, but she has captained the Nomads to the title expertly and led by example with 21 goals in just 12 league games this season. That tally counts four hat-tricks, including one against last year\u2019s champions Llandudno in a 7-1 victory in February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shannon Hindmarsh, Pontypridd United: \u201cPromotion would mean everything to us. We\u2019ve had a really hard season on and off the pitch, but to get promoted would mean so much. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone in this team really wants it, and we want to prove people wrong from last season who said we weren\u2019t going to have a good season and that we wouldn\u2019t bounce back. We\u2019re hoping we can perform on Sunday and produce the goods.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy ambition as a manager is to always compete at the best level, and if successful on Sunday, I am confident that we can compete in the top-flight with hopefully some new additions.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Border is a former Swansea City goalkeeper, who was part of the very first women\u2019s team for the club and won multiple Genero Adran Premier titles. She was also called up to the Cymru squad in 2011 alongside the likes of Sophie Ingle, Jess Fishlock and Helen Ward, but did not make an appearance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time Border retired as a player in 2022, she had already started refereeing and this season she has officiated in the Genero Adran South. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Venue<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Sunday\u2019s play-off will take place at Latham Park in Newtown for the third consecutive year after Wrexham and Briton Ferry Llansawel secured promotion at the venue in 2023 and 2024 respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later in the day at Latham Park, Wrexham and Cardiff City will meet in the Genero Adran U19 national final (KO 4:30pm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticket information<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for the afternoon at Latham Park \u2013 which will also grant access to the Genero Adran U19 national final \u2013 will only be available to buy on the gate, costing \u00a33 for adults and \u00a31 for under 18s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
