Jodie Williams is keen to continue the culture of success at The New Saints after being appointed as the new head coach at Park Hall. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williams, 32, takes the reins in Oswestry after Shauna Duffy departed the club to take on the role of Regional Talent Manager at the English FA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her only season in charge, Duffy led TNS to their first ever piece of silverware by lifting the Genero Adran Trophy, as well as a record third-place finish in the Genero Adran Premier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to getting involved with the club and taking on this role as we look to build on the success of Shauna, Tom and the team from last season,” Williams told the club’s official website<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have only ever heard good things about The New Saints, so I look forward to starting the new season with the staff and players.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future is exciting for TNS, who were one of 11 clubs awarded an FAW National Academi licence<\/a> this week following the FAW’s creation of a structured, transparent pathway for female players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe launch of our new Girls\u2019 Academi programme, supporting the growing pathway for players at the club, means there\u2019s lots of hard work ahead, but these are really exciting times to look forward to,” Williams added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williams has previously worked at Everton, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Williams joins TNS from Women’s Super League side Everton, where she worked as U16s head coach and an assistant coach with the U21s team. She has also previously held roles at Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 32-year-old becomes the third new head coach in the Genero Adran Premier this summer following Rhys Thomas at Briton Ferry Llansawel and Yzzy Taylor at Swansea City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
