The 2024\/25 Genero Adran Premier Team of the Season has been announced ahead of the FAW National League Awards on Saturday 7 June. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives from across the league were invited to select a best XI, before all submissions were compiled into the Team of the Season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

League champions Cardiff City have the most players in the Team of the Season with four put forward by representatives from opposition clubs. Briton Ferry who finished second in their first season back in the top-flight have three players and then there’s two each from The New Saints and Wrexham. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genero Adran Premier<\/strong> Team of the Season 2024\/25<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GK \u2013 Courtney Young (Briton Ferry Llansawel)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferry boasted the best defensive record in the division, conceding just 22 goals in 20 games. The 24-year-old played in 19 of those. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RB – Maria Francis-Jones (The New Saints)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cymru international was a surprise arrival last summer having joined TNS following spells in England with Manchester City, Sheffield United and most recently Burnley. Francis-Jones registered nine assists and three goals over the course of the league campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CB – Shannon Evans (Cardiff City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the earlier years of career Evans was a striker but now she’s made the gradual transition from an attacker to a defender. Evans was a key reason to Cardiff’s title success and has been nominated for the Player of the Year award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CB – Lowri Ridings (Briton Ferry Llansawel)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferry had the best defensive record in the league and at the heart of that was Lowri Ridings. She kept seven clean sheets and scored three goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LB – Ffion Price (Cardiff City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most recognised names in the league following her years of service to the Bluebirds. Price ended up finishing as the league’s top scorer with 12 goals and seven assists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrexham AFC Women’s Lili Jones (R) was nominated for the Young Player of the Season<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

CM – Lili Jones (Wrexham)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the brightest young talents in the division, Jones finished joint third in assists this season with seven and also scored a memorable goal against TNS to help Wrexham into the top four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM – Tija Richardson (Briton Ferry Llansawel)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richardson has played for various different clubs in the top-flight, and slotted right in at Old Road. In 17 league games, she had three assists and three goals, with her experience helping the Reds to a second-placed finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM – Lily Billingham (Cardiff City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a spell in England in the National League, Billingham returned to Cardiff and made an impact. The box-to-box midfielder finished with four assists and four goals, but she’s also recognised for her all-round play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RW – Abbie Iddenden (Wrexham)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With nine goals and nine assists to her name, the forward has proven to be a solid addition to the Wrexham side after joining from Stoke City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ST – Fiona Barry (Cardiff City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arriving from Bridgwater United, Barry netted nine goals in 20 matches, and also got two assists to earn a nomination for the Young Player of the Season award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LW – Chantelle Teare (The New Saints)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teare finished third in the top scorer’s charts with 10 goals. The 24-year-old also notched up six assists as TNS achieved an impressive third-place finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
