away at Aberystwyth Town.

Ellie Preece scored twice in the opening 23 minutes at Park Avenue to put Barry seemingly in control of the game, but Aberystwyth were level inside the first 10 minutes of the second half following Ellie Gunney’s own goal and Sian Evans’ header from Carys Bufton’s free-kick.

However, substitute Keira Harris found a winning goal for Barry with just nine minutes left on the clock as she brought down Sienna Stone’s long ball and fired past Sophie Steele.

Wrexham returned to winning ways with an emphatic 6-1 victory against Pontypridd United at The Globe.

Jenny Sugarman’s side were ahead after just 11 minutes when Ponty defender Faye Marshall turned the ball into her own net from Hannah Snape’s corner, but the visitors levelled 10 minutes later through another own goal as a clearance from Wrexham goalkeeper Liz Craven cannoned off defender Josie half-time by rounding Alysha Hawkins and tapping into an empty net.

There was no let up from the hosts after the break as Mariam Mahmood found the net with a strike from distance on 49 minutes, before Iddenden grabbed her second goal of the afternoon four minutes later with a superb lob over Hawkins.

Mahmood completed a brace of her own in stoppage time with another stunning effort from the edge of the box, as a big win for Wrexham lifted them up to second in the table.

Briton Ferry Llansawel made it back-to-back wins by triumphing 3-1 over The New Saints at The Renewable Centre Stadium.

It was a frantic start to the contest as Ashley Griffiths headed in Megan Kearle’s corner to put Ferry
