Jonathan Spyropoulos, Fishlock&#8217;s assistant at Pontypridd and a former Barry U19 Women&#8217;s manager, has also joined the coaching staff at Jenner Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am really pleased to have been given this opportunity to become head coach of Barry Town United Women,&#8221; Fishlock told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrytownwomenfc.co.uk\/news\/management-update-2945486.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official club website<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The club is in a very strong position and that\u2019s down to the work Stevie, Tony [Barnett], the staff and players have put in over the last two years. Hopefully we can continue to work together to push on this season and the coming seasons ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fishlock previously guided Pontypridd United to a fifth-place finish in the Genero Adran Premier in the 2022\/23 season, but five consecutive defeats at the start of the following campaign led to his exit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are delighted to welcome James and Jon to the club who will both add significant knowledge and expertise as we enter a new chapter at Barry Town,&#8221; the club&#8217;s chairman Luke Williams added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;James has great experience of team management within the Adran Premier and will provide great leadership whilst we also know Jon and his qualities well from his previous role at the club.
