Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads moved five points clear at the top of the Genero Adran North table with a 3-1 victory over local rivals Flint Town United at the Essity Stadium on Sunday. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nomads were rewarded for their bright start as Ella Jones met Megan Andrews\u2019 cross at the front post and smartly guided the ball into the bottom corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flint levelled the scoreline with Rosie Hughes\u2019 low drive from a tight angle against the run of play, but the Nomads restored their lead in the 36th minute as Jones raced onto Libby Mackenzie\u2019s defence-splitting through ball and sent a sublime first-time finish into the top corner, leaving Rebecca Bott no chance of the save. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordan Parry\u2019s side continued to threaten in the second half and they eventually put the game to bed in stoppage-time as Megan Galeandro met a low cross from fellow substitute Alisha Whitehead-Hughes and fired home from close range. The Nomads have now triumphed in their last 21 Genero Adran North matches, a record spanning back to March 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Felinheli were 2-0 up away to Bangor in the other Genero Adran North fixture thanks to Jordanne Greenough and Llywela Edwards, but torrential weather conditions forced the game to be abandoned shortly before the hour mark. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardiff Met moved three points clear at the top of the Genero Adran South with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Taffs Well at Cyncoed Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met took the lead in spectacular fashion on 13 minutes as Carys Gittins received the ball from Olivia Barnes and fired into the top corner from 35 yards out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna Houghton doubled the lead six minutes into the second half from close range before Scarlett Davies raced onto Gracie Howard\u2019s pass and sent a deft lob over Chrissy Kidley. The win was Met\u2019s biggest home victory in league competition since March 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pure Swansea failed to remain level on points with Met after falling to a 1-0 home defeat to Cwmbran Celtic at SU Sports Centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren Boyd built on her five-goal haul in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last weekend with another strike to put the visitors ahead inside just 10 minutes. Celtic captain Eloise Meaney was shown a straight red card in the 80th minute, but Georgia Schwartz\u2019s side held on to claim their third win of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penybont also continued their bright form as Cerys Jones\u2019 brace secured a 2-1 victory over bottom-of-the-table Cascade at the CCB Centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jones was set up by Erin Bater on both occasions as the combination gave Bont a two-goal lead after 66 minutes played. Ellis Lunn quickly halved the deficit for Cascade, but the hosts were unable to find a late equaliser, meaning they are still without a point to their name after five matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third-place Carmarthen Town returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over Llanelli Town at the LHP Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decisive moment arrived in the 64th minute as Casi Jones latched onto a long ball, raced past two defenders and found the back of the net via the crossbar. Carmarthen remain third in the table  and just three points behind leaders Cardiff Met. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
