The Genero Adran Premier returns on Sunday following the winter break, with some crucial clashes on the agenda as the end of Phase One approaches. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In perhaps the most anticipated fixture of the campaign so far, league leaders Wrexham travel to face second-place Cardiff City at the CIS Stadium (KO 17:10) \u2013 live on Sgorio. The Red Dragons are currently five points clear at the top of the table, although the Bluebirds do have a game in hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrexham triumphed 3-2 over Aberystwyth Town in their last league outing before a penalty shootout win over the Seasiders in the Genero Adran Trophy and a 4-0 victory over Penybont in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches in all competitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardiff dropped points at home for the first time this season in a 3-3 draw against The New Saints in their last Genero Adran Premier fixture, but Iain Darbyshire\u2019s side bounced back with an emphatic 6-0 win over Swansea City in the Genero Adran Trophy. They too are currently on a 12-game unbeaten run in all competitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing could separate the two sides in October\u2019s reverse fixture in Buckley as Cardiff teenager Fiona Barry scored a late penalty to cancel out Katie Barker\u2019s opener in a 1-1 draw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race for a spot in the Championship Conference also continues to heat up as third-place Swansea City host fourth-place The New Saints at Llandarcy (KO 14:00). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swansea strengthened their place in the top half with a 5-1 win away at Pontypridd United at the beginning of December. Yzzy Taylor\u2019s side were then beaten 6-0 by Cardiff City in the Genero Adran Trophy but responded with a thumping 10-0 win over Llanystumdwy in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TNS have drawn their last two Genero Adran Premier matches against Cardiff City and Barry Town United, but Mikey Harris\u2019 team returned to winning ways with victories over Pontypridd and Cambrian United in cup competitions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swansea edged past TNS back in October with a 2-1 victory at Park Hall, but the Saints earned an impressive 5-0 win on their last visit to Llandarcy in October 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aberystwyth Town and Briton Ferry Llansawel both harbour ambitions of breaking into the top half ahead of their meeting at Park Avenue (KO 14:00). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber are currently in sixth place and five points adrift of the top four with three Phase One games remaining, but have fond memories of mounting a late charge to make the Championship Conference two years ago. The Seasiders suffered two narrow defeats away to Wrexham in league and cup competition in December, but are hoping to make it back-to-back home wins after triumphing over Pontypridd United last time out at Park Avenue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fifth-place Ferry are three points better off than Aberystwyth, meaning they sit just two points behind TNS in fourth \u2013 with the Reds also holding a game in hand. Rhys Thomas\u2019 side have won and kept clean sheets in their last four matches in all competitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carys Bufton scored a hat-trick as Aber completed a remarkable turnaround to secure a 3-2 victory over Ferry in October\u2019s reverse fixture. However, the Reds have won 4-0 and 3-0 on their last two visits to Park Avenue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The division\u2019s bottom two sides face off at Jenner Park as Barry Town United host Pontypridd United (KO 14:00).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry produced a spirited performance to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at The New Saints in their last league outing, but James Fishlock\u2019s side were then beaten 2-0 by Briton Ferry in the Genero Adran Trophy quarter-finals a week later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Linnets are 10 points better off than Pontypridd, who are rooted to the foot of the table after losing all 11 league matches so far this season. The Dragons\u2019 woes continued in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup two weeks as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to second tier Carmarthen Town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ponty were two goals ahead after 87 minutes in the reverse fixture in October, but Beca Thomas\u2019 brace and Millie Breen\u2019s stoppage-time strike saw Barry stage a stunning comeback to triumph 3-2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
