Cardiff Met secured the Genero<\/a> Adran South title with 3-0 win away at Cwmbran Celtic on Wednesday evening. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Archers knew that victory at Avondale Park would clinch top spot in the division and they got the job done thanks to a brace from Esme Kilburn-Thompson and a strike from Molly Chapman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met, who are the joint-most successful club in the Welsh women’s top-flight with six titles to their name, suffered relegation from the first tier for the first time in their history last season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, under manager Jon Nash, a youthful Archers side have bounced back in style, playing free-flowing football to win 10 of their 12 games so far and hold off competition for the title from Carmarthen Town and Pure Swansea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met have scored 36 goals in their 12 games so far, conceding just 10. Kilburn-Thompson has starred with 12 of those goals, all of which have come in her last eight appearances. Anna Houghton has chipped in with five, while Chapman has netted on four occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Providing they achieve a Tier 1 licence, Cardiff Met will compete against the Genero Adran North champions in the Adran Leagues Promotion Play-Off, for the right to play in the Genero Adran Premier next season, on Sunday 26 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
