The 2025\/26 Genero Adran Premier Team of the Season was announced at the FAW National League Awards in association with Morgans Consult<\/a>, on Saturday, 16 May.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, supporters were invited to vote for the Team of the Season, with the final selections determined by a combination of public votes and an independent panel to ensure a balanced outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final XI includes four players from Wrexham, three from Cardiff City, three from Swansea City, and one from Briton Ferry Llansawel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genero Adran Premier 2025\/26 Team of the Season<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GK: Courtney Young (Briton Ferry Llansawel)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 25-year-old earned widespread praise from both teammates and opponents for her performances this season. Young finished the campaign strongly, enjoying an unbeaten run in the Plate Conference while conceding just three goals in six matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RB: Maria Francis-Jones (Wrexham)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first player in the division to command a transfer fee from a league rival, Francis-Jones handled the pressure impressively and played a key role in helping the Red Dragons secure the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jodie Bartle was an important figure in Wrexham’s Genero Adran Premier title success<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

CB: Jodie Bartle (Wrexham)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bartle\u2019s arrival at Wrexham coincided with a noticeable shift in culture. Confident in possession and commanding at the back, her influence quickly spread throughout the squad. The 34-year-old also contributed important goals and assists, and fittingly captained the side to the league title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CB: Nieve Jenkins (Cardiff City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardiff boasted the best defensive record in the division, and Jenkins was central to that. A rock at the heart of the defence, she featured in all but one league match this season and, at just 24, is continuing to develop into a strong leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LB: Lucy Finch (Swansea City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finch earns her place in the team in what proved to be her final season as a player. Having enjoyed a trophy-laden career, she bows out after featuring in 14 of Swansea\u2019s 20 league matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RM: Mikayla Cook (Cardiff City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A product of the Bluebirds academy, Cook registered 19 goal contributions before departing the club. The 21-year-old has improved year on year and will be difficult to replace, with attention now turning to where she heads next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM: Lily Billingham (Cardiff City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Billingham brings relentless energy to midfield and has developed into a well-rounded player. Strong in the tackle and equally capable of contributing goals, she has become a key figure in the centre of the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chloe Chivers is capable of winning a match on her own for Swansea City. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

CM: Chloe Chivers (Swansea City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chivers was Swansea\u2019s leading attacking player, scoring 16 goals during the 2025\/26 campaign. Her knack for producing match-winning moments and dragging her side over the line made her invaluable to the Swans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LM: Faye Knox (Wrexham)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knox enjoyed an excellent first season back in Wales after joining from Bolton Wanderers. The former Wales U19 international scored nine goals this term and has ambitions of breaking into the senior national team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ST: Katie Barker (Wrexham)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A record-breaker this season, Barker reached 25 league goals and scored against every team in the division. Her outstanding campaign saw her deservedly crowned Player of the Season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ST: Aimee Deacon (Swansea City)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deacon scored 11 league goals and provided three assists, while also adding six more goals in cup competitions, including one in the Welsh Cup final against Cardiff City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At just 18 years old, Deacon has already established herself as one of the most influential players in the Swansea squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
