Wrexham Foresters secured promotion to the Genero Adran North<\/a> for the 2026\/27 season after coming from two goals down to defeat Llangefni Town on penalties in the Tier Three Promotion Play-Off.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first half was closely contested at Maes Tegid, with neither side able to find a breakthrough until the closing moments before the break. A free-kick from Llangefni captain Catrin George was only partially cleared, and when the ball was returned into the penalty area, Ellie Coulson was on hand to turn home from close range and give her side the lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llangefni doubled their advantage midway through the second half when an mis-hit clearance from Rebecca Foster fell kindly to Lowri Thomas. Taking full advantage of Foster’s mistake, Thomas produced an excellent strike from distance to make it 2-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foresters responded quickly. With Llangefni temporarily reduced to 10 players while Ffion Owen received treatment, Foster drove forward and picked out Kirsty Kural, who calmly lifted the ball over Katie Spruce to halve the deficit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kural struck again with five minutes remaining. Foster was once more the provider, finding the forward in space before she turned neatly and finished to level the scores at 2-2 and force a penalty shootout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the scores still level after 90 minutes, the match went straight to penalties. Louise Wilson converted the decisive spot-kick as Wrexham Foresters claimed a 4-3 shootout victory and secured their place in the Genero Adran North for next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
