The second round of the 2026\/27 Genero Adran Trophy<\/a> group stage awaits on Sunday, with some clubs potentially able to secure a place in the knockout stage with a game to spare.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each club will play everyone once in their group, before the top two clubs from each group progress to the round of 16 where the eight Genero Adran Premier<\/a> teams enter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bangor will edge closer to the Genero Adran Trophy knockout stage for the first time in their history if they earn victory over Llanfair United at Mount Field in Group 1 on Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bangor already sprung a surprise in the first round of group fixtures as Mia Roberts\u2019 stoppage time goal sealed a 2-1 win away to Felinheli. In contrast, Llanfair suffered a 5-3 defeat to Flint Town United and Lucie Gwilt\u2019s side must therefore pick up all three points here to have a better chance of reaching the knockouts for the third consecutive season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llanfair won all three games against Bangor last season – once in this competition and twice in the Genero Adran North, scoring a combined 14 goals and keeping three clean sheets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Bangor do pull off another shock win, they will be hoping for a favour from Flint Town United, who host Felinheli at the Essity Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bangor and Flint will progress to the knockout stage if both teams win on Sunday as they will be on six points each, making it impossible for Llanfair or Felinheli to climb into the top two spots in Group 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Felinheli were on the right side of late drama in both matches against Flint in the Genero Adran North as they rescued 2-2 and 1-1 draws thanks to goals from Katie Midwinter and Jenna Tugwell-Allsup respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Berriew and Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads face off at the Berriew Recreation Ground after both teams earned statement wins in Group 2 last weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were several positives for new Connah\u2019s Quay manager Andy Griffiths to build on following his side\u2019s emphatic 5-1 victory away to Wrexham Foresters last Sunday. including a debut brace for teenage forward Non Williams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berriew also got their new era up and running in style as Dottie Evans\u2019 two goals and two assists inspired a rampant 4-0 win over Llandudno in Gareth Hopkins\u2019 first game in charge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nomads won 1-0 against Berriew in the Genero Adran Trophy group stage last season, while also securing 10-0 and 5-0 wins on their way to lifting the Genero Adran North title. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If there is a winner at the Berriew Recreation Groun on Sunday, they would progress to the knockout stage if the other Group 2 fixture between Llandudno and newly-promoted Wrexham Foresters at the Go Goodwins Stadium ends in a draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llandudno and Wrexham Foresters were both level for the majority of the first half in their respective opening matches, but defensive errors proved costly, meaning both sides will be eager for a response if they are to keep their last 16 hopes alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lily Whitefoot scored twice as Llandudno won 3-1 against the Foresters in last season\u2019s Bute Energy Welsh Cup second round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group 3<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Cwmbran Celtic can guarantee a place in the Genero Adran Trophy knockout stage if they beat Penybont at the Motazone Arena. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jodie Challenger\u2019s late goal earned Celtic a narrow 1-0 win over Cascade last weekend to give Phil Schonbeck the perfect start to life as new manager, while Penybont drew 1-1 with Pure Swansea in their opening group game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victory for Celtic on Sunday would take them to six points and would make it impossible for two other teams in Group 3 to overtake them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celtic were 2-1 victors against Bont in the group stage last season and scored late to salvage a 1-1 draw in the first Genero Adran South meeting. However, Bont eventually gained their revenge with a 4-2 win in the reverse league fixture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cascade host Pure Swansea in Group 3\u2019s other fixture with both sides knowing victory is key if they are to push towards a place in the knockout stage. The Swans will move into Group 3\u2019s qualification spots heading into the last round of group fixtures 3 if they win on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris Church\u2019s side beat Cascade 2-1 in November\u2019s first Genero Adran South meeting, but Cascade came from behind to earn a 2-1 win of their own in the reverse fixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group 4<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Carmarthen Town and Pontypridd United could potentially progress to the knockout stage from Group 4 if both teams are victorious on Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carmarthen were standout performers in the competition last weekend as Kalena Walters-Wright\u2019s two goals and two assists inspired a 5-2 win away to Cambrian United. If the Old Gold can beat newly-promoted Llanrumney United away from home this Sunday, they will confirm their place in the last 16 for the first time ever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only previous meeting between the two sides came in the 2024\/25 SWWGL League Cup, where Flavia Jenkins scored a hat-trick to give Carmarthen a 5-1 win en route to lifting the trophy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pontypridd will also reach six points and book their spot in the last 16 if they earn victory over newly-promoted Cambrian United at USW Sports Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robyn Lloyd scored a brace as Pontypridd won 2-0 against Llanrumney in the opening group game, while Cambrian\u2019s defeat away to Carmarthen leaves them requiring at least a point against the Dragons if they are to keep their knockout hopes alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
