With three new clubs due to various relegations and promotions, there is a freshness and intrigue to the Genero Adran South ahead of the 2026\/27 campaign. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pontypridd United<\/strong> are back in the second tier after failing to pick up a single point in the Genero Adran Premier last season, but will hope to bounce back and secure an immediate return to the top-flight as they did in 2024\/25. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, they must do so without Nicole Fenton, who won the division\u2019s Young Player of the Season during that promotion-winning campaign, as she has joined Cascade alongside Faye Marshall. In addition, goalkeeper Anna Phelps has moved to Cardiff Met and midfielder Jess Cockayne has made the switch to Gwalia United. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boss Drew Lewis has brought through a number of players from the U19s squad, most notably forward Robyn Lloyd who already has three goals in two Genero Adran Trophy matches. Former Pure Swansea and Penybont goalkeeper Georgia Tarullo could prove a key addition between the sticks, while Ffion James adds top-flight experience from spells at Barry Town United and Cascade. Anna Howard arrives as a Gibraltar international, while Brooke Mahoney, Rebecca Neil and Emily Green have also joined to bolster the ranks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newly-promoted Llanrumney United<\/strong> are preparing for their Genero Adran South debut after storming to the SWWGL title last season \u2013 winning 17 of their 18 league games and scoring 70 goals in the process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Managed by Cardiff City legends and twin sisters Catherine and Siobhan Walsh, Llanrumney have retained much of their promotion-winning squad \u2013 most crucially top scorer Rosina Hill, who already has a brace against Carmarthen Town in the Genero Adran Trophy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plenty of second tier experience has been recruited over the summer, with Rachel Currie \u2013 who has also played in the top-flight with Barry Town United \u2013 joining from Pure Swansea alongside former Taffs Well quartet Chrissy Kidley, Scarlett Pickup, Keira Allen, and Alisha Northmore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cambrian United <\/strong>will also play second tier football for the first time in their history, having earned promotion following Taffs Wells\u2019 withdrawal from the division. The Rhondda side finished second in the SWWGL last season, winning 13 of their 18 matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manager Claire O\u2019Sullivan led Pontypridd United to promotion from the Genero Adran South in 2024\/25 and her vast experience in the game will be crucial in the step up. Last season\u2019s top scorer Kelly Isaac, who bagged 17 goals in 16 games, will hope to continue her fine form. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Aberystwyth Town and Cardiff Met midfielder Niamh Duggan also starred last term and briefly departed for Barry Town United this summer but is now back in the Rhondda. Maddison Coles and Michaela Major both join from Taffs Well, while the pair also have appearances in the top-flight on their CVs. Full-back Kirsten Budina, defender Tiffany Davies, midfielder Charl Galloway and forward Ruby Spear all played in the second tier last season too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two newly-promoted clubs will hope to take inspiration from Carmarthen Town<\/strong>, who finished second in their debut season in the Genero Adran South last term. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Old Gold have lost forward Aimee Heath and midfielder Summer Evans to Ammanford and Gwalia United this summer, but have kept hold of the 2025\/26 Genero Adran South Young Player of the Season Ophelia Jenkins and her older sister Flavia \u2013 the siblings finished as the team\u2019s joint top scorers last season with seven league goals each. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carwyn Phillips has been busy recruiting from across the division this summer, with Ellie-Jade Latronico and the vastly experienced Stacey Webber joining from Llanelli Town, Izzy Watkins arriving from Cascade and Kalena Walters-Wright making the switch from Pure Swansea. Goalkeeper Poppy Delaney, capped by Cymru at U17 level, is a player to keep an eye on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cwmbran Celtic <\/strong>finished third last season and also reached the Bute Energy Welsh Cup semi-finals, but have seen a change in the dugout over the summer as Georgia Shwartz stepped down for a full-time operations role at Cardiff City and has been replaced by former Pontypridd United and Cascade assistant boss Phil Schonbeck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casey Daniels has returned to Penybont and Alex Cridland has joined Goytre, but Schonbeck still has a strong spine to work with. Players such as captain and goalkeeper Amie Preston-Roberts, midfielder Jodie Challenger and last season\u2019s top scorer Fiona Anthony bring plenty of experience, while there is plenty of youthful promise from the likes of Cerys Shipley, Hollie Channing and Gracie Grosvenor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer signings include Megan Waite who brings experience in this division from Cascade, Katie Wilson will hope to make the step up to senior football after being a regular for Swansea City\u2019s U19s, Niamh Warrender returns to Wales after a spell in the USA and Ruby Johnson moves across the border from Gloucester City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a fifth-place finish last season, it has been a busy summer at Cascade<\/strong> \u2013 where former Pontypridd United and Caldicot Town boss Kellan Webb has taken the reins after Steve Moran moved to a Head of Female Football role at the club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been a number of eye-catching new signings, most notably former Cardiff City duo Ceryn Chamberlain and Lisa Owen who have been central to the Bluebirds\u2019 success in recent years. Nicole Fenton set this division alight while at Pontypridd United in 2024\/25, while Faye Marshall also arrives from the Dragons after being a regular in the top-flight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experienced campaigners such as Anny Lewis and Casey James-Thomas remain, alongside Ellis Lunn who scored 12 goals in 12 league games last season. Megan Waite is the most notable departure as she has joined Cwmbran Celtic, while Emily Green and Charl Galloway have switched to Pontypridd United and Cambrian United respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pure Swansea<\/strong> were runners-up in 2024\/25 and started brightly last season too before a late season collapse resulted in a disappointing sixth-place finish for Chris Church\u2019s side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have lost last season\u2019s two highest scorers this summer as Annabel Stokes and Kalena Walters-Wright have moved to Swansea City and Carmarthen Town respectively, while Rachel Currie, Hannah Pinney and Isabel O\u2019Sullivan have also departed after being regulars in recent years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rianne Jones joins after scoring eight league goals for Taffs Well last season, with Abby Rose also making the switch from Rhiw’r Ddar, while Kelsey Thomas adds top-flight experience from spells at Swansea City and The New Saints. New goalkeeper Verity Jones was a promotion winner with Cardiff Met last season, Ffion Varney adds plenty of experience, while Sofie Harris and Harley Hodge make the step up to senior football after being regulars for Swansea City and Briton Ferry\u2019s U19 teams respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penybont <\/strong>have finished fourth in both of their Genero Adran South seasons so far, but will hope to potentially climb the division having now firmly established themselves at this level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, they must do so without last season\u2019s top scorer Cerys Jones who bagged 12 league goals last season \u2013 no one else in the squad netted more than three \u2013 but has moved to Gloucester City this summer. Goalkeeper Georgia Tarullo has also exited, joining Pontypridd United. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a boost to have Casey Daniels back at the club following spells at Briton Ferry Llansawel and Cwmbran Celtic, while Megan-Ruby Clarke, Imogen Lewis and Katie Rowles will hope to seamlessly step up to senior football after joining from Swansea City U19s; ditto Evie Jones from Carmarthen Town. Molly Ridge featured in every league game for Taffs Well last season, while Rhian Thomas brings top-flight experience from her time at Barry Town United. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
