Genero Adran South side Swansea University caused the biggest upset in the Genero Adran Trophy round of 16 by progressing 6-5 on penalties away at top-flight Pontypridd United.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

American forward Jessica Goucher put the hosts ahead on the half hour mark before her finish was cancelled out by Efa Preece Jones on the stroke of half-time. After a goalless second half, the tie went to a penalty shootout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dragons had the advantage in the shootout after Freya Sullivan missed Swansea\u2019s second effort, but Isobel Platten made a brilliant diving save to deny Ffion Simmonds and level it up. In the end, it was Madison Williams who missed the crucial penalty to send the second tier side through.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holders Cardiff Met eased through to the quarter-finals once again as they dispatched Adran South side Coed Duon 10-0 at Cyncoed Campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ruthless first half which saw teenager Esme Kilburn-Thompson grab five goals in 32 minutes all but confirmed The Archers\u2019 place in the next round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Eve Pearson and Anna Houghton also scored braces to make it nine at the interval. Kennesha Nanette made it double figures deep into second half stoppage time as Met began their quest to retain the trophy in style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gwen Jones stole the show at Deeside Stadium as her first half hat-trick helped Aberystwyth Town to an emphatic 5-0 victory over Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a tight battle when these two sides met in last season\u2019s FAW Women\u2019s Cup, but a new and improved Aber side showed their quality yet again to progress into the last eight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two cool finishes and a spot kick from Jones had the visitors in dreamland at Deeside. With The Nomads having used all of their substitutes and young defender Mae Hodgers going off with injury, Jordan Parry\u2019s side were forced to play the rest of the game with ten players. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Genero Adran Premier outlet made the most of the extra player advantage as Imogen Scourfield and Rebecca Mathias completed a five-star performance on the road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardiff City put on a rampant goalscoring display to claim a staggering 21-0 victory over Pontardawe Town, the highest winning scoreline since the formation of the Genero Adran Trophy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhianne Oakley, Mackenzie Olden and Eliza Collie were the stand out performers as the trio scored four each to help The Bluebirds to a statement victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a straightforward afternoon in front of goal for City as Lisa Owen, Ffion Price, Danielle Broadhurst, Hollie Smith and Tija Richardson all got their names on the scoresheet to extend the advantage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pontardawe were dealt an even bigger blow when goalkeeper Celyn Barnett came off at half time, therefore meaning outfield player Jessica Llewellyn went in between the sticks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a moment to savour for Demi Parry, Olivia Basham and Grace Phillips as they bagged their first senior goals for City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swansea City avenged last season\u2019s Adran Trophy round of 16 loss against Llandudno after securing a superb 13-0 victory over Jordan Hadaway\u2019s side to reach the quarter-finals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seasiders were without a recognised goalkeeper in their squad, meaning latest recruit Sioned Phillips started in goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New arrival Emily Thomas put on her best performance in a Swansea shirt, scoring five goals at the OPS Wind Arena with four of those coming in the opening half an hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robyn Pinder, Katy Hosford, Jessica Williams and Stacey John-Davis all found the back of the net to increase the tally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chloe Chivers also continued her fine form, netting twice and assisting four times to reach her 18th goal contribution of the season as Chris Church\u2019s side cruised through to the next round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
