Cardiff City reached a fifth consecutive Genero Adran Trophy semi-final with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Wrexham at The Rock.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two thunderous strikes from distance Seren Watkins and Molly Kehoe gave The Bluebirds daylight in the first half, before Amber Lightfoot halved the deficit in the 74th<\/sup> minute after slamming home from Rebecca Pritchard\u2019s cross. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, all hopes of a late Wrexham comeback were put to bed when Eliza Collie restored the two goal cushion for the Genero Adran Premier leaders with a tidy finish. Iain Darbyshire\u2019s side have now won 11 consecutive matches in all competitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Genero Adran Trophy holders Cardiff Met were knocked out of the competition as they suffered a 5-0 defeat away to two-time winners Swansea City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Swans\u2019 quality proved too much for the Archers to deal with as goals from Katy Hosford, Stacey John-Davis and Robyn Pinder gave the home side a three-goal advantage inside the opening 31 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chloe Chivers struck twice in the space of five minutes during the second half as she took her tally in the competition this season to four, and there was simply no way back for Met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New Saints produced a stellar performance to end Swansea University\u2019s Genero Adran Trophy run as Chantelle Teare bagged a hat-trick in a 5-0 victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teare\u2019s first half double gave Saints a deserved lead at the interval despite a spirited performance from the Genero Adran South side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily Ridge added a third with her eighth goal in six games, and she then set up Teare to complete her treble in the 74th<\/sup>\u00a0minute and all but confirm Saints\u2019 place in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was then a moment to savour for 16-year old Matilda Edge, who grabbed her first senior goal for Saints with a composed finish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
