Llansawel moved top of the Genero Adran Premier table with a 5-0 home win over Cardiff Met on Sunday.

The Reds were rewarded for their early pressure with the opener in the 29th minute as Met failed to clear a free-kick into the box, allowing Tija Richardson to set up Alison Witts who tapped into an empty net.

It was 2-0 shortly before half-time when Laura-May Walkley fired the ball across goal for Maia Owen to tap in at the back post and continue her strong start to life in a Ferry shirt.

Owen grabbed her second of the game in the 71st minute when her shot slipped through the fingers of Sofia Pittortou, before new signing Catryn Cook came off the bench to score twice from close range in the final 10 minutes.

It is now three wins from three games for Ferry since promotion, while they are the only side in the division yet to concede a goal this season.

Cardiff City also continued their perfect start to the season as they were victorious on their return to the Cardiff City Stadium, securing a 2-0 win over The New Saints.

Both sides had won their opening two matches and there was nothing to separate them in a goalless first half.

However, the Bluebirds broke the deadlock five minutes after the break when Lisa Owen controlled Molly Kehoe’s defence-splitting pass and produced a tidy finish past Becca Elliott for her first league goal in nearly three years.

City remained on the front foot throughout the second half and eventually clinched the three points when Laura Curnock fired into the top corner for her first goal for the club since arriving in the summer.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" return to The Racecourse ended in frustration as Swansea City picked up a 3-2 victory at the historic stadium for the second season running.

The Swans were in front after 12 minutes as Stacey John-Davis nodded home a pinpoint cross from Robyn Pinder, but Wrexham levelled in the 35th minute when Abbie Iddenden intercepted the ball and played in Ava Suckley who produced a clinical first time finish past Opal Rayner.

Set-pieces were Wrexham’s undoing in the second half as Jess Williams restored Swansea’s lead in the 68thminute by heading home from Katy Hosford’s corner, before Katie Sharp nodded into her own net from Chloe Chivers’ free-kick 13 minutes later.

Rosie Hughes came off the bench to halve the deficit by heading in from Lili Jones’ corner in the 90th minute, before she was denied a dramatic equaliser in stoppage time by a superb last-ditch interception from Williams.

Barry Town United comfortably defeated Aberystwyth Town 4-0 at Jenner Park to claim their first league win of the season.

Barry took control of the game with two goals in the final three minutes of the first half, as Ellie Gunney set up Erin Murray to fire home before Jasmine Turner’s cross sailed over Chelsea Herbert in the Aber goal.

The hosts added a third 10 minutes into the second half when Preece set up Ingrid Ådland to finish into the top corner, before Preece got on the scoresheet herself in the 76th minute when she was found by Emily Freeman and tucked home at the second time of asking after her first shot was saved by Herbert.

Genero Adran Premier results

Barry Town United 4-0 Aberystwyth Town
Briton Ferry Llansawel 5-0 Cardiff Met
Cardiff City 2-0
