The current Genero Adran Premier top two meet in the Genero Adran Trophy quarter-finals on Sunday as The New Saints host Cardiff City. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bluebirds, who sit two points ahead of the Saints in the league standings, are the current holders of this competition and reached the last eight with a hard-fought 2-1 win on the road against Genero Adran North side Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TNS were the biggest winners in the Round of 16 as they triumphed 6-1 away at Caldicot Town and now they will be aiming for a spot in the semi-finals for the fourth consecutive season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shauna Duffy\u2019s side are currently on a nine-match unbeaten streak in all competitions, having not lost since 2-0 defeat at the Cardiff City Stadium at the end of September. Lisa Owen and Laura Curnock scored the goals for Cardiff that day, as the Bluebirds secured an 11th<\/sup> consecutive victory against TNS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cascade are the only second tier side in the quarter-finals, so they will look to cause an upset when they host last season\u2019s runners-up Swansea City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brendan Donohoe\u2019s side have already dumped out top-flight opposition as Chrystalla Moreton\u2019s goal earned a 1-0 home win over Cardiff Met in the Round of 16, while they became the first side to take points off Pontypridd United in the Genero Adran South this season with a 2-1 victory away at USW Sports Park last weekend \u2013 climbing to fourth in the table as a result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swansea City come into the tie on a six-match unbeaten run in all competitions, with their most recent outing being a 3-1 league victory over Aberystwyth Town. Jamie Sherwood\u2019s side began their Genero Adran Trophy campaign with a 4-0 home win over Llanfair United and they will be aiming to win the competition for the first time since 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cascade and Swansea last met in the top-flight in 2020\/21, when the Swans were victorious on both occasions with Katy Hosford and Stacey John-Davis scoring hat-tricks in 4-0 and 5-0 wins respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aberystwyth Town are aiming to reach the semi-finals for the fourth consecutive year as they travel to Briton Ferry Llansawel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seasiders defeated reigning Genero Adran North champions Llandudno in the Round of 16, but league form continues to be a problem for Chris Church\u2019s team as they sit seventh in the table and without a win to their name this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Briton Ferry\u2019s first time in the Genero Adran Trophy quarter-finals after a 4-1 win over Penybont in the last round. The Reds have impressed upon their return to the top-flight so far, losing just one of their seven league games and conceding the joint-fewest goals in the division (six). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These two sides met on the opening day of the Genero Adran Premier campaign and it was an afternoon to remember for Ferry as they stormed to a 4-0 win at Park Avenue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry Town United and Wrexham will both be targeting a place in the semi-finals for the first time when they meet at Jenner Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry have lost just one of their last 11 matches in all competitions, but needed to come from behind to defeat second tier side Flint Town United 4-2 in the Round of 16. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ellie Preece came off the bench to score once and assist twice in that game, while she also netted the decisive goal in Barry\u2019s 1-0 home win over Wrexham in the Genero Adran Premier earlier this season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrexham comfortably won 4-1 away at Cwmbran Celtic to reach the quarter-finals, but they come into this tie following back-to-back league defeats against The New Saints and Cardiff City, leaving them sixth in the table and four points adrift of a top half spot. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
