Cymru Football Foundation has unveiled our latest Fit-For-Future facility \u2013 a resurfaced, full-size 3G at Ysgol Greenhill in Tenby.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CFF \u2013 backed by the Department of Media, Culture and Sport\u2019s Multi-Sport Grassroots Facility Programme \u2013 has invested close to \u00a3400,000 into extending and resurfacing the existing 2G facility alongside support from Sport Wales and Pembrokeshire County Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opened by former Cymru International Joe Ledley – this latest completed project takes the total of new or upgraded full-size 3Gs invested in by the CFF to 16 – with further investment already planned for several sites across Wales.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new facility will provide easy access to sporting opportunities for pupils of Ysgol Greenhill during the day, whilst also providing opportunities for grassroots football to thrive out of school hours in a huge boost for the local area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m absolutely delighted to see the completion of this fantastic new 3G facility at Greenhill. Thanks to joint funding from the Cymru Football Foundation and Sport Wales, through Welsh Government grant support, we\u2019ve been able to deliver a top-quality surface that will benefit both the school and the wider community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis \u00a3700,000 investment is not just about new turf \u2013 it\u2019s about creating opportunities for young people and residents of all ages to get involved in football and rugby, whether that\u2019s through competitive fixtures or recreational play. The improved surface, extended playing area, new fencing and energy-efficient lighting mean this facility is fit for the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPembrokeshire Leisure will now take on the ongoing management of the pitch, ensuring it remains a vital community hub for years to come. This project is a brilliant example of what can be achieved through strong partnership working and a shared vision for education and grassroots sport.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the power of collaboration, we\u2019re making huge strides in improving football facilities in Wales on and off the pitch.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CFF supports the development of football through investment and guidance as it delivers the Football Association of Wales\u2019 commitment to develop inspirational fit-for-future football facilities that will improve and grow Welsh football both on and off the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since February 2022, the CFF has invested over \u00a317 million into supporting fit-for-future facilities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
