This International Women\u2019s Day, the Cymru Football Foundation (CFF) is proud to celebrate the power of investment, opportunity, and community in helping women and girls across Wales flourish through football. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of this celebration is our\u00a0Environments for Her<\/a><\/em> Fund – a landmark initiative created following the Wales Women\u2019s National Team\u2019s qualification for UEFA Women\u2019s EURO 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This history-making moment sparked more than just national pride – it inspired a commitment to lasting change – investing \u00a31million to make off-field facilities safe, welcoming and inspiring for women and girls who participate in the grassroots game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this fund, over 20 clubs<\/strong> across Wales have each received grants of up to \u00a350,000. From changing room renovations to safer, more welcoming social spaces, these projects are helping ensure that the women and girls who play, coach, volunteer, or simply enjoy the game have a safe space to thrive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collectively, these clubs are home to more than 2,000 registered players<\/strong> – a testament to the growth of women\u2019s and girls\u2019 football across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Environments for Her<\/em>\u00a0Fund represents one chapter in a much bigger story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, the CFF has invested almost\u00a0\u00a325 million<\/strong>\u00a0into grassroots football facilities across Wales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the key considerations when investing is driving equal access to high\u2011quality facilities, and the results speak for themselves. Thanks to strategic partnerships, targeted funding, and a commitment to breaking down barriers, access to high-quality, inclusive football facilities for women and girls has increased by 56%<\/strong> since 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environments For Her\u00a0<\/em>is helping meet the growing demand for grassroots football opportunities amongst women and girls whilst also recognising the success of Rhian Wilkinson\u2019s team on the pitch and leaving a legacy across the country.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
