Cymru Football Foundation\u2019s first new, innovative facility has opened at Grange Gardens in Cardiff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cymru Court \u2013 a facility that has been designed to bridge the gap between structured club football and recreational play \u2013 is now available creating a high-quality, accessible space for people of all ages to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The six\u2011figure investment from the CFF has transformed the facility which now boasts a modern, durable playing surface and enhanced features that support year\u2011round, inclusive activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new space in Grangetown now features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 <\/strong>A new high\u2011performance 4G surface<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 <\/strong>Updated rebound fencing and kick boards<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 <\/strong>Improved lighting and security<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 <\/strong>A clean, open design for recreational use<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aled Lewis, Director at the Cymru Football Foundation said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that Grange Gardens has been chosen as the site of Wales\u2019 first Cymru Court.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis investment will provide a high\u2011quality, inclusive space for young people, families and local groups, helping to remove barriers to participation and support healthier, more active communities.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCymru Courts are about bringing football back to the heart of communities. This first installation will set the standard for future sites across Wales and ensure more people can enjoy the game in a safe, modern, and engaging environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDiolch yn fawr to UK Government and the Premier League for their continued support \u2013 together we\u2019re bringing Cymru closer to the game on and off the pitch.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabinet Member for Culture, Parks and Events, Cllr Jennifer Burke, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want to get as many people as possible playing football and enjoying all the health and wellbeing benefits that come with it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHigh-quality, community facilities like this new Cymru Court can play a really important role in making the game accessible to all, so I\u2019m delighted that we\u2019ve been able to work with Cymru Football Foundation to bring Wales\u2019 first Cwrt Cymru to Cardiff.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upgraded facility will benefit youth organisations, grassroots clubs, and residents, offering more opportunities for accessible sport and physical activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
