The Cymru Football Foundation has opened our latest Fit-For-Future Facilities funded project at Berriew FC in partnership with UK Government.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opened at The Haydn Williams Recreation Field Grounds, the CFF \u2013 with support from UK Government \u2013 were able to support a significant upgrade of the playing surface through a grant of just over \u00a3160,000, coupled with club\u2019s fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The small-sided community facility has been prone to wear-and-tear, becoming unsafe to use and no longer fit for purpose. This had seen the club having to spend over \u00a33,000 a year for their junior players to train elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to this investment, Berriew FC\u2019s 200 junior players will now be able to train consistently, whatever the weather and re-invest the funds they were previously spending on alternative locations to become a stronger, more sustainable community-focused club \u2013 a key priority for the CFF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CFF supports the development of football through investment and guidance as it delivers the FAW\u2019s commitment to develop inspirational fit-for-future football facilities that will improve and grow Welsh football both on and off the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
