The Cymru Football Foundation has opened our latest Fit-For-Future Facilities programme project with Llanfairfechan Town Council and Llanfairfechan Town FC – thanks to funding from UK Government.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opened on Friday 9th<\/sup> August, the CFF \u2013 with support from UK Government \u2013 were able to support a significant upgrade of the playing surface and creation of a multi-use games area (MUGA) through a grant of just over \u00a390,000, coupled with club\u2019s fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility was previously an un-used pair of concrete tennis courts, unsafe for use by the local community due to their poor condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to this investment, Llanfairfechan Town FC\u2019s female and junior provisions will now be able to train consistently, whatever the weather and re-invest the funds they were previously spending on alternative locations to become a stronger, more sustainable community-focused club \u2013 a key priority for the CFF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incorporation of the MUGA will also provide a space for members of the local community to stay active, with the facility able to also accommodate for tennis, badminton and pickleball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CFF supports the development of football through investment and guidance as it delivers the FAW\u2019s commitment to develop inspirational fit-for-future football facilities that will improve and grow Welsh football both on and off the pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since October 2022, the CFF has invested over \u00a317 million<\/a> <\/strong>into supporting fit-for-future facilities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
