While the JD Cymru Premier takes a break this weekend, there are still key games to keep an eye on in the second tier. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru North \u2013 Ruthin Town v Colwyn Bay (Saturday, 2pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key game at both games of the JD Cymru North table awaits at Maes Tegid on Saturday as struggling Ruthin Town host league leaders Colwyn Bay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruthin find themselves in the bottom three with just six games left to play, but a 1-1 draw against Vale of Clwyd rivals Denbigh Town last weekend moved them to within two points of safety. However, with 13th<\/sup>-place Caersws holding two games in hand, Dave Evans\u2019 side must start getting wins on the board \u2013 they have earned only one since the start of November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colwyn Bay currently have a two-point lead over second-place Airbus UK Broughton, who have a game in hand. Narrow 2-1 and 3-2 wins over Caersws and Guilsfield respectively in the last fortnight have extended the Seagulls\u2019 unbeaten run in the league to 22 matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gwion Dafydd \u2013 who has since returned to The New Saints from his loan \u2013 scored twice as Bay secured a comfortable 3-0 home win over Ruthin in December\u2019s reverse fixture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru South \u2013 Goytre United v Llanelli Town (Friday, 7:30pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llanelli Town will be hoping to bounce back from a rare defeat last weekend when they travel to Goytre United on Friday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reds were beaten 1-0 at home by Ammanford a week ago, ending their 18-match unbeaten streak in all competitions. The loss saw them drop to second in the table, with Trethomas Bluebirds \u2013 who visit Baglan Dragons on Saturday \u2013 now holding a one-point lead at the top with six matches remaining. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goytre won 2-0 over Taffs Well in their last home match and led by the same scoreline away at Trefelin last weekend, but conceded three times in the last 12 minutes to collapse in dramatic fashion. Stephen Kelleher\u2019s remain outside of the relegation by two points, but have played a game more than 14th<\/sup>-place Afan Lido.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llanelli\u2019s biggest win this season was against Goytre back in November as Ethan Cann and Henry Jones both bagged braces in a 7-1 victory at Stebonheath.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
