Manager of the Month<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

John Disney – Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was another perfect month for Connah’s Quay Nomads as victories over Colwyn Bay, Briton Ferry Llansawel and Flint Town United setup a huge match against The New Saints on New Years Eve. An impressive 3-1 win made it eight straight victories for John Disney’s side and cut the gap on the league leaders to four points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve Jenkins – Barry Town United<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 1-1 draw at Penybont was followed by a crucial 1-0 win at home to Cardiff Met as Barry Town United continue their push for a top six place at the mid-season split. Despite a 2-1 defeat at Briton Ferry Llansawel, Steve Jenkins\u2019 side head into the final round of Phase 1 fixtures in sixth place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony Pennock – Haverfordwest County<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An undefeated December has certainly eased relegation worries for Haverfordwest County as Tony Pennock\u2019s side claimed eight points during the month. Away draws at Flint Town United and Cardiff Met were complimented by a 2-0 win at Bala Town and a 3-0 victory at home to Llanelli Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Player of the Month<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Harry Franklin – Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five goals and two assists during a faultless month for the Nomads has earned Harry Franklin his nomination. The 26-year-old scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Colwyn Bay before scoring another double in the victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel and adding to his tally against Flint Town United.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ben Margetson – Barry Town United<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defender was a key player for Barry Town United in December and scored the only goal of the game in the huge 1-0 win over Cardiff Met. Margetson played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw at Penybont and found himself on target again in the 2-1 defeat to Briton Ferry Llansawel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corey Shephard – Haverfordwest County<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two goals during an important month for Haverfordwest County highlighted the importance of Corey Shepard in this side. After scoring an astonishing goal from the halfway line in the 2-0 win over Bala Town<\/a>, Shepard added to his season total with another strike in the 3-0 win over Llanelli Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Callum West – Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another important figure for the Nomads in December, Callum West contributed two goals and two assists as his side claimed four wins from their four league games. The 20-year-old was on target for his side in the 4-2 win over Briton Ferry Llansawel and scored an impressive solo goal in the 3-1 win over champions The New Saints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru North<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Manager of the Month<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Jordan Hadaway \u2013 Llandudno<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three wins from three December fixtures means that Llandudno continue to set the pace at the top of the JD Cymru North. Both games against Mold Alexandra ended 2-1 in favour of Jordan Hadaway\u2019s side before Buckley Town were comfortably defeated 5-0 on Boxing Day to round-off the year in style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gari Lewis \u2013 Penrhyncoch<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been a difficult season for Penrhyncoch at the bottom of the JD Cymru North<\/a> but five December points from three games has offered hope for Gari Lewis\u2019s side. A 1-0 win over in-form Guilsfield was sandwiched between 1-1 draws with Newtown and Ruthin Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Moore – Rhyl 1879<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two December victories provided a positive return for Rhyl 1879. An impressive 3-1 win over Holywell Town was followed by another three points as Paul Moore\u2019s side claimed a 2-1 result away to Buckley Town, but their run came to an end against Holyhead Hotspur on Boxing Day with a 3-1 reverse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Player of the Month<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Joel Giblin – Ruthin Town<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although it has been a tough campaign for Ruthin Town, 20-year-old Joel Giblin gave the fans something to cheer in December with two goals and two assists. On target in the 5-1 defeat to Caersws, Giblin scored again and provided an assist in the Boxing Day win over Denbigh Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Archie Jones – Rhyl 1879<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three December goals made it a memorable month for Archie Jones. The 23-year-old added to his goal tally in the victories over Holywell Town, Buckley Town and Holyhead Hotspur and has now scored 10 goals for the season in the JD Cymru North.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dan Owen \u2013 Penrhyncoch<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penrhyncoch can thank Dan Owen for their best month of the campaign as the 23-year-old scored all three of their goals as they claimed five points from three games and remained undefeated. Owen was on target in the 1-1 draw with Newtown, the 1-0 win over Guilsfield and in the 1-1 draw with Ruthin Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kieran Smith \u2013 Llandudno<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Bala Town star showed his quality during December as Llandudno claimed maximum points from their three league games to lead the way at the top of the JD Cymru North. Smith also added his name to the scoresheet in the 5-0 win over Buckley Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru South<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Manager of the Month<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Andy Hill \u2013 Trefelin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The excellent defensive record that has seen Trefelin not concede a league goal since the start of September continued as Andy Hill\u2019s side claimed a 3-0 win at home to Caerau Ely before defeating local rivals Afan Lido 2-0 to maintain their title challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sam Houldsworth – Newport City<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An undefeated month for Sam Houldsworth\u2019s Newport City side added five points to their total as a 0-0 draw with Pontypridd United was followed by a 2-1 win over Cardiff Draconians. However, side were held to a 2-2 draw by bottom of the table Cwmbran Celtic in their last match of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liam Williams – Cambrian United<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cambrian United maintained their lead at the top of the JD Cymru South in December as Liam Williams\u2019s side registered a 3-0 win over Carmarthen Town before defeating Ynyshir Albions 3-1. Cambrian United now have an eight-point advantage over Trefelin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Player of the Month<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Louis Caramella-Gerrard \u2013 Trefelin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 33-year-old has provided valuable experience at Trefelin this season and was ever-present during December as his side won both fixtures and kept clean a pair of clean sheets, adding to his goal tally as he hit the target in the 3-0 win over Caerau Ely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sam Cawley – Cardiff Draconians<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 27-year-old continues to be a key player for Cardiff Draconians in the JD Cymru South and played every minute for his side in December. Cawley scored and provided an assist in the 2-0 win over Llantwit Major and contributed an assist for their only goal in the 2-1 defeat to Newport City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dylan Edwards – Cambrian United<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two goals and an assist in December made this a positive month for Dylan Edwards and the current JD Cymru South leaders. The 23-year-old claimed a goal and an assist in the 3-0 victory over Carmarthen Town and scored the opening goal in the 3-1 win at Ynyshir Albions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jay Woodford – Cambrian United<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another player that has made a big impression at Cambrian United this season, Jay Woodford played the full 90 minutes in the win over Carmarthen before registering a goal and an assist in the win over Ynyshir Albions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
