Phase One concludes in the JD Cymru Premier on Friday night, while there are crucial clashes across the weekend in the second tier too. Here are the key games to keep an eye on. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru Premier \u2013 Barry Town United v Llanelli Town (Friday, 7:45pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry Town United will hope to confirm their place in this season\u2019s JD Cymru Premier Championship Conference when they host Llanelli Town at Jenner Park on Friday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Linnets are currently sixth in the table, sitting above seventh-place Cardiff Met only on goal difference ahead of the final round of Phase One matches. It means that they must at least equal the Archers\u2019 result away at Penybont if they to secure a top half spot for the first time in five years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry have already missed opportunities to seal a place in the top six, suffering back-to-back defeats on the road at Briton Ferry Llansawel (2-1) and Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads (3-1) either side of the new year. However, Steve Jenkins\u2019 side are unbeaten in their last five home matches in all competitions, with four consecutive clean sheets during that time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bottom-of-the-table Llanelli are winless in their last 11 league matches and sit 13 points adrift of safety. The Reds did show signs of improvement in a narrow 1-0 loss to Penybont on New Year\u2019s Day, so will be hoping to head into Phase Two with a positive result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry have already beaten Llanelli three times this season, with a 2-0 win on the opening day of the league campaign before 1-0 and 6-0 victories in the Nathaniel MG Cup and JD Welsh Cup respectively. Forward Ieuan Owen has bagged goals in all three matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flint\u2019s victory at Bay saw Bala slip into the relegation zone, before the Lakesiders were narrowly beaten 2-1 by league leaders The New Saints on Tuesday night. It was a fifth defeat in six games of Steve Fisher\u2019s side, who have picked up just five points from their last 12 matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in their last meeting on the opening weekend of the season, as Flint midfielder Ben Wynne cancelled out Hussein Mehasseb\u2019s opener for Bala. The Lakesiders are unbeaten in their last 11 league matches against the Silkmen, a record spanning back to October 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru North \u2013 Gresford Athletic v Penrhyncoch (Saturday, 2pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JD Cymru North bottom two face off on Saturday as Gresford Athletic host Penrhyncoch at The Hollingsworth Group Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain Paul Johnson scored a stoppage time winner as Gresford triumphed 3-2 away at Denbigh Town on New Year\u2019s Day, their first league win in 11 league matches since the start of September. The result saw the Colliers leapfrog Penrhyncoch in the table and they are now two points above the relegation zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dan Owen has five goals in his last four games for Penrhyncoch<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

However, the Roosters do have a game in hand and ended 2025 on a four-match unbeaten streak \u2013 including wins over top half sides Buckley Town and Guilsfield. Dan Owen\u2019s goal in the 1-1 draw against Ruthin Town on New Year\u2019s Eve was his fifth in his last four matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gresford came from two goals down to earn a thrilling 4-2 victory over Penrhyncoch in the first meeting between the two sides last season before they played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru North \u2013 Newtown v Llandudno (Saturday, 2:30pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru North leaders Llandudno will aim to bounce back from their first defeat of the campaign when they travel to fourth-place Newtown on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newtown have picked up just two points from their last five league games and find themselves six points behind the promotion spots following back-to-back defeats to Airbus UK Broughton and Caersws over the festive period. The Robins cannot afford too many more dropped points if they are to make an immediate return to the JD Cymru Premier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llandudno triumphed 6-3 over Newtown at Latham Park in the Nathaniel MG Cup quarter-finals<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Llandudno suffered their first league defeat of the campaign as they were beaten 3-1 away at Rhyl 1879 on New Year\u2019s Day. The Seasiders are still four points clear at the top of the table though, while they have a game in hand over second-place Holywell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Promotion-chasing Ammanford are hoping to extend their unbeaten run in the JD Cymru South to 10 matches when they visit USW Sports Park to face Pontypridd United on Friday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ammanford are currently third in the table and have only lost once in the league this season. Wyn Thomas\u2019 side made it three straight wins and clean sheets by triumphing 2-0 at home against Ynyshir Albions last weekend, meaning they are now four points clear of fourth-place Caerau Ely \u2013 although the Young Guns do have a game in hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pontypridd are still searching for their first points under new manager Matt Driscoll after conceding late goals in consecutive 1-0 defeats to Aberystwyth Town and Cambrian United over the festive period. The Dragons are 12th<\/sup> in the table and have only won four league matches this season, but they are a healthy 12 points clear of the relegation zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
