Llandudno secured their spot in the JD Cymru North top three with a 2-1 victory over third-place Holywell Town at the Go Goodwins Stadium on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seasiders took the lead with 26 minutes on the clock as Aidan Higgins\u2019 cross found Mark Cadwallader, who guided his header into the bottom corner. The veteran forward struck the crossbar in the second half with another header, but eventually grabbed his second goal of the evening on 82 minutes when he tucked away the rebound from Sam Downey\u2019s blocked shot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holywell almost immediately pulled a goal back as a defensive mix-up from the hosts saw Iwan Cartwright\u2019s pass back strike the post and fall to Jamie Breese, who was left with a simple finish into an empty net from just a yard out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Llandudno held on to earn their seventh straight league victory and will be promoted to the JD Cymru Premier \u2013 following a seven-year absence from the top-flight \u2013 if they achieve a Tier 1 licence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fourth-place Newtown were left stunned on Friday evening as they suffered a 5-0 defeat to Gresford Athletic at Latham Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gresford found the breakthrough after 20 minutes played as Toby Gallagher-Keenan\u2019s corner flew over Mike Jones and directly into the back of the net. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Colliers made the most of a swift counter-attack to double their lead just before half-time as Tom Smith squared the ball for Haci Ozlu, who slotted past Jones. The same duo combined again six minutes after the break as Smith controlled Ozlu\u2019s low ball and steered the ball into the bottom corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Substitute Sam Baker added a fourth goal for Gresford just two minutes after his introduction as the youngster received Gallagher-Keenan\u2019s pass, drove forward and fired across goal to open his account for his new club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave Evans\u2019 side rounded off a five-star performance late on as Ozlu\u2019s free-kick sailed through to Billy Nicholas, who slotted in from a tight angle. Gresford have now won their last three league matches without conceding a goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second-place Airbus UK Broughton edged closer to sealing their place in the top three with a hard-fought 2-1 win away to Caersws on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jake Roberts gave Airbus the lead in style with 16 minutes on the clock as the forward met Tyler McManus\u2019 cross and sent a clinical lob over Max Williams from the edge of the area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Caersws were level 10 minutes before half-time as Airbus goalkeeper Sam Fenney spilled Ashley Harries\u2019 cross, allowing Tom Edwards to tap home the loose ball for his first ever JD Cymru North goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus nearly restored their lead in first half stoppage time, but Williams tipped Jordan Evans\u2019 free-kick onto the crossbar. The Wingmakers did eventually edge back in front in the <\/p>\n\n\n\n

65th minute though, as Evans\u2019 corner bounced perfectly for George Peers, who guided his header into the top corner from just four yards out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both sides were reduced to 10 men in stoppage time when Caersws forward Max McLaughin was sent off for a foul on Mason Blackwell-Jones before Airbus defender Sam Rickett was dismissed for an off-the-ball incident. Nonetheless, the scoreline remained the same as Airbus earned their 11th consecutive win in all competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penrhyncoch moved three points clear of the relegation zone with a 2-0 victory over Buckley Town at The Globe on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Roosters took the lead six minutes before half-time as Geoff Kellaway set up John James for his third goal of the season. Kellaway then converted from the penalty spot in the 65th minute to double the advantage \u2013 his third goal in four games \u2013 and seal a first away win in 2026 for Gari Lewis\u2019 side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mold Alexandra claimed back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a 1-0 triumph over bottom-of-the-table Ruthin Town at Alyn Park on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It looked for a long time that the match would finish goalless, but Morgan Roberts found the breakthrough for Mold on 85 minutes by heading home from Craig Rogers\u2019 cross. Barry Owen\u2019s side are now up to 11th in the table and are a healthy nine points clear of the relegation zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holyhead Hotspur also eased any relegation nerves with an impressive 1-0 win over sixth-place Guilsfield at The New Stadium on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning goal arrived in the 35th minute when the Guils failed to clear a corner, allowing Cory Williams to react quickest and fire into the net for his sixth league goal of the season. Darren Garmey\u2019s side have now won six of their last eight league games only losing to Airbus and Llandudno. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brickfield Rangers secured their third straight league win as Jay Richardson\u2019s late strike sealed a 1-0 win over Denbigh Town at Central Park on Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decisive moment arrived when the clock hit 90 minutes as Richardson stood over a free-kick and curled beautifully into the top corner. Brickfield are now just two points behind seventh-place Denbigh with a game in hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
