Cambrian United closed the gap on JD Cymru South leaders Trefelin to just three points with a 4-0 win over Afan Lido at Princess Margaret Way on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cambrian took the lead in style on 23 minutes as Jack Fox received the ball on the edge of the area and unleashed a powerful effort into the net via the crossbar. Dylan Edwards quickly doubled the advantage by tapping home from Liam Eason\u2019s low ball at the back post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edwards made it a brace on the hour mark by tapping in the rebound from a corner which ricocheted back off the crossbar before Tom Hillman came off the bench, rounded Exauce Dimonekene and finished into an empty net to cap off a convincing display in stoppage-time. Liam Williams\u2019 side are now unbeaten in their last 19 league matches, boosting their confidence ahead of next Tuesday\u2019s visit to leaders Trefelin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dan John scored a hat-trick as Ammanford maintained their promotion bid with a thrilling 3-2 win over Llantwit Major at the UWL Stadium on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

John slotted past Ryley Allen twice within the opening 11 minutes to give Ammanford the perfect start. The teenager had a glorious chance to bag his treble when he raced through on goal, but he could only fire over the bar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major fought back and levelled the scoreline early in the second half when Connor Goldsworthy cut inside and curled beautifully into the far corner before a handball from Adam Orme inside the area allowed talisman Jack Bevan to equalise from the penalty spot – his fifth goal in four games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major continued to apply pressure, but it was the visitors who found a late winner as John received Matthew Fisher\u2019s pass and sent a low drive into the bottom corner to give Wyn Thomas\u2019 side a crucial victory in the race for promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ammanford remain just two points adrift of Caerau Ely, who maintained their spot in the top three with an emphatic 5-0 victory away to Baglan Dragons on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caerau took firm control early on as Ollie Redhead fourth goal in as many games and Charlie Lewis\u2019 penalty opened up a two-goal lead inside just 19 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hywel Davies\u2019 brace either side of Luke Gullick\u2019s strike in the second half ensured Young Guns secured their biggest win since September. Dean Wheeler\u2019s side have now won their last four league matches – equalling their club record. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ynyshir Albions secured their biggest ever JD Cymru South win with an impressive 4-0 triumph over Newport City at the Ynyshir Oval on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ynyshir made the perfect start to the contest and opened up a two-goal lead after just 21 minutes played as Jorrie-Blue Griffiths finished from Calum Salter\u2019s pass before Griffiths returned the favour to Salter, who scored his first goal of 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a moment to savour for teenager Jamie Ellis, who came off the bench to score his first ever senior goal on 57 minutes. Salter then capped off an impressive victory for the <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buns with his second of the afternoon six minutes later as Craig Hopkins\u2019 side eased any relegation fears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carmarthen Town staged a remarkable comeback to earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Cardiff Draconians at Lydstep Park on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dracs were two goals to the good inside just 16 minutes as Dan Bowen received Efu Kazadi\u2019s pass and sent a low drive past John Chesters before Harry Treharne produced a superb finish to bag his first goal since January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A neat team move saw Lewis Reed pull a goal back for Carmarthen in the 25th minute before the visitors were awarded a penalty shortly half time. Liam Thomas stepped up and saw his spot kick saved by Harry Johnson, but the Carmarthen forward redeemed himself just moments later with his sixth goal in four games to make it two apiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carmarthen completed the turnaround in first half stoppage-time thanks to Keyon Reffell\u2019s fifth league goal of the season. The Old Gold are now unbeaten in eight out of their last nine league games, scoring an impressive 16 times in their last four. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aberystwyth Town returned to winning ways as Owain Evans\u2019 brace inspired a 3-0 victory over Trethomas Bluebirds at Park Avenue on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evans tapped home from Tom Mason\u2019s cross to get things rolling for the Seasiders before the youngster doubled his and Aber\u2019s tally on the half-hour mark with another close-range finish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calvin Smith gave the hosts comfort in the 57th minute as he rounded Trethomas goalkeeper Aaron Jones and slotted into an empty net. Aber saw out the closing stages to keep their first clean sheet on home turf since November. Craig Williams\u2019 side remain seven points adrift of the promotion places with just five games remaining. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treowen Stars came from two goals to earn a 2-2 draw with Pontypridd United at Bush Park on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eli Phipps gave Pontypridd the lead in the 19th minute with his first goal for the club before Taylor Marsh doubled the advantage in first half stoppage-time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those two goals seemed to have put the visitors in control, but the Stars fought back as Captain Christian Davies converted from the penalty spot before Tom Gameson haunted his former club with an equaliser in the 68th minute. Stars defender Craig McDonnell was shown a straight red card with 12 minutes of normal time remaining, but the home side held on to claim a point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
