Another stellar weekend ahead in the JD Cymru Leagues, with implications at both ends of the tables. Here are the key games to watch.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru Premier – Bala Town vs Haverfordwest County<\/strong> (Saturday, 5:15pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be implications at both ends of the JD Cymru Premier Play-Off Conference as relegation-threatened Bala Town host play-off chasing Haverfordwest County at Maes Tegid on Saturday, live on Sgorio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bala remain winless in Phase Two so far, but moved to within five points of safety with a 1-1 draw against Flint Town United last Saturday. However, with just four games remaining, the Lakesiders may not be able to afford any more slip-ups, with their 17-year tenure in the top-flight still in serious jeopardy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A loss for Bala and a win for Cardiff Met away to Llanelli Town on Friday would leave Steve Fisher\u2019s side needing three wins from their final three matches if they are to have any chance of survival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bala Town vs Haverfordwest County<\/h2>

Haverfordwest, who are unbeaten in their last six away games, currently occupy a play-off spot, sitting one point above eighth-place Briton Ferry Llansawel. Tony Pennock\u2019s side have won five out of their first six matches in Phase Two and returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Cardiff Met last weekend thanks to Owain Jones\u2019 late strike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haverfordwest have won and kept a clean sheet in all three meetings against Bala this season with a pair of 2-0 victories in Phase One before a 3-0 triumph in the reverse Phase Two fixture last month. Corey Shephard has four goal contributions in those three games, including a stunning halfway line goal on Haverfordwest\u2019s last visit to Maes Tegid in December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru North – Ruthin Town vs Gresford Athletic<\/strong><\/strong> (Friday, 7:45pm)<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruthin Town continue their fight for survival in the JD Cymru North when they host in-form Gresford Athletic at the Memorial Playing Fields on Friday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruthin sit bottom of the table and are now six points adrift of safety following their 2-1 loss to Flint Mountain last weekend. Every team Ruthin can possibly catch also have a spare game in hand, so Colin Caton\u2019s side must start earning victories if they are to remain in the second tier. Friday may be one of their best chances to aid their survival bid, with two out of their final three fixtures coming against leaders Llandudno and fourth-place Newtown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruthin Town have lost four on the bounce to increase their relegation fears<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Gresford have eased their relegation fears with a terrific run of form in 2026 so far, claiming six wins from eight games, losing only to title challengers Llandudno and Airbus UK Broughton during that time. The Colliers secured their biggest ever JD Cymru North win since December 2023 with an emphatic 5-0 triumph away to Newtown a fortnight ago. Dave Evans\u2019 side sit ninth in the table and will now be confident of a top half finish with two games in hand on eighth-place Brickfield Rangers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gresford earned a 2-1 victory in August\u2019s reverse league fixture, but Ruthin gained revenge with a penalty shootout win following a 1-1 draw in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup later that month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New JD Cymru South leaders Cambrian United look to continue their push towards the title when they host promotion hopefuls Aberystwyth Town at the M&P Group 3G on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cambrian are unbeaten in their last 15 league matches and returned to the top of the table on goal-difference on Tuesday with a statement 4-0 win away to fellow title challengers Trefelin, which also guaranteed a place in the top three for the Rhondda side. Forward Jack Fox has scored in all four games throughout March so far, while Dylan Edwards has an impressive seven goal contributions during that time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liam Eason is still the man to beat and leads the JD Cymru South with 18 goals<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Aberystwyth are currently fifth in the table and ended their three-match losing run with a comfortable 3-0 win over Trethomas Bluebirds last weekend, but the Seasiders remain seven points adrift of the promotion places. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three of Aber\u2019s five remaining games all come against the bottom three sides Ynyshir Albions, Afan Lido and Cwmbran Celtic, so Craig Williams\u2019 side will be hoping they can finish the season strongly in an attempt to catch third-place Caerau Ely and fourth-place Ammanford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calum Bateman scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner as 10-man Cambrian secured a 2-1 win over Aberystwyth in November\u2019s reverse league fixture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
