Holywell Town secured a place in the JD Cymru North top three after Mold Alexandra secured a 2-1 win over fourth-place Newtown in Good Friday\u2019s early kick-off.\u202f<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mold forward Max McGoona \u2013 on loan from Colwyn Bay \u2013 had the chance to put his side ahead midway through the first half when he stood over a penalty, but Newtown goalkeeper Dave Jones guessed correctly and saved the spot kick to keep the scoreline goalless.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Mold eventually found the breakthrough on 57 minutes as Tyler Berry scored his first goal since December. McGoona then made amends for his penalty miss by scoring Mold\u2019s second of the afternoon just two minutes after Berry\u2019s opener.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newtown pulled a goal back through Jamie Hyne, who tucked away the rebound after Joe Smith saved Devon Torry\u2019s penalty, but the Robins were unable to complete a comeback, meaning it is now mathematically impossible for them to catch Holywell.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holywell were aware their place in top three was sealed, but the Wellmen were unable to celebrate the achievement with a positive result of their own as second-place Airbus UK Broughton earned a 3-0 win at Bartons North Wales Stadium.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holywell duo Jamie Breese and Joe Sullivan were both denied by the woodwork in the opening 19 minutes, but it was in fact Airbus who took the lead as Mason Blackwell-Jones fired home from Nathan Williams\u2019 cross.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Wingmakers took firm control of the contest in the second half and doubled their lead on the hour mark as Jake Roberts tapped home the rebound from Josh Stevenson\u2019s saved effort.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Substitute Kaiden Cooke wrapped up a convincing display from the visitors late in the day as he found the net from Roberts\u2019 clever flick-on. Mark Allen\u2019s side have now kept three consecutive clean sheets in all competitions for the first time since December 2024.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus remain two points behind leaders Llandudno, who took a step closer to the title with a 5-2 victory over relegation-threatened Ruthin Town at the Go Goodwins Stadium.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llandudno wasted no time and took the lead after just 15 minutes played as Marc Williams finished from Jordan Pownall\u2019s pinpoint cross for his fourth goal of the season.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruthin top scorer Dan Holland netted for the third consecutive league game to bring Ruthin level at the break, but Llandudno found two quick goals within the first six minutes of the second half as Joe Faux scored his first competitive goal in nearly three years before Mark Cadwallader finished off a well-worked corner.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joel Giblin halved the deficit for Ruthin, but Adam Stephens scored twice in the final 10 minutes, including a spectacular overhead-kick, to put the game to bed.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llandudno can now become JD Cymru North champions if they beat Guilsfield on Easter Monday, while Ruthin must win their final match at home against Newtown and hope 15th-place Penrhyncoch do not earn any points from their final three games if Colin Caton\u2019s side are to have any chance of survival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penrhyncoch had the chance to confirm their safety on Friday, but suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Denbigh Town, who strengthened their place in the top half with victory at Central Park.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denbigh\u2019s winning goal came after just nine minutes played as Nathan Brown\u2019s corner directly looped over a crowded area, including Penrhyncoch goalkeeper Leigh Jenkins, who could not keep the effort out. Brown has now scored 89 goals in his Denbigh career, making him the third-highest scorer in the club\u2019s history.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visitors came agonisingly close to salvaging the point they needed to confirm their safety, but Rhys Jenkins had a goal ruled out for offside and Dan Owen saw his cross-turned-shot clip the crossbar. Penrhyncoch do have two games in hand on bottom-of-the-table Ruthin, so Gari Lewis\u2019 side will get the chance to claim that crucial point again, this time away to Caersws on Easter Monday.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jay Richardson scored a hat-trick as Brickfield Rangers earned their biggest ever JD Cymru North win with a 6-0 victory over a youthful Buckley Town at The Globe.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buckley had eight players aged 21 or under in their starting lineup, making this a difficult task for Asa Hamilton\u2019s side. Brickfield establisheda four-goal lead in the first half as Richardson bagged a brace before Danny Jones and Gerson Silva Neto got in on the act.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Richardson completed his hat-trick on 72 minutes before substitute Jack Edwards rounded off a clinical performance from Gary Wilson\u2019s side. The Bucks will be hoping to keep regular senior players fit in preparation for their Welsh Blood Service League Cup semi-final against Treowen Stars on Easter Monday.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain Daniel Burgess and forward Hugh Holland were Buckley Town\u2019s sole returning starters from the last game<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Guilsfield ended their nine-match winless run in all competitions with a 2-1 victory over Rhyl 1879 at the Hops and Barley Community Stadium.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dan Atkins had Rhyl ahead at half-time after his goal in the 29th minute, but the Guils completed the turnaround in style shortly after the restart thanks to James Smallwood\u2019s volley and Jake Cook\u2019s sweet strike on the edge of the area. The Guils now travel to leaders Llandudno on Easter Monday with hopes of securing a top half finish.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caersws returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Gresford Athletic at Clappers Lane.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Craig Harris put the Bluebirds ahead in extraordinary fashion as he took aim from the halfway line and made the most of the windy conditions to catch out Lewis Dutton, who was unable to keep the effort out.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caersws captain Harry Cottam doubled his side\u2019s advantage just four minutes into the second half after he received Tom Edwards\u2019 pass, went on a magnificent solo run and finished calmly past Dutton when one-on-one with the Gresford goalkeeper. Both sides are now safe from relegation following Ruthin\u2019s defeat to Llandudno.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holyhead Hotspur continued their impressive end to the campaign with a 2-1 win over Flint Mountain at Bastion Gardens.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The match was goalless after half an hour, but James Phillips\u2019 first goal of the season and Connor Owen\u2019s strike saw Holyhead quickly open up a two-goal cushion.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mountain youngster Luca Hogan scored his third goal in five games to half the deficit, but Holyhead survived to claim their first away win since the start of December. Despite defeat, Mountain are safe from relegation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
