The Welsh Blood Service League Cup takes centre stage this weekend as 16 clubs compete in round two.\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The standout tie in the Northern section sees in-form duo Flint Town United and Denbigh Town meet at the Essity Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Silkmen have won their last five matches in succession in the JD Cymru North and knocked out title rivals Airbus UK Broughton in round one of this competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Denbigh have won four in a row in the league and were the Northern section\u2019s biggest winners in the previous round as they triumphed 6-2 away at Buckley Town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be the third meeting between these two sides already this season, with Flint winning the previous two in the JD Cymru North and JD Welsh Cup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mold Alexandra are also enjoying life in the JD Cymru North, having won six of their last seven matches, and produced arguably the result of the first round as they were 3-2 victors over JD Cymru North leaders Holywell Town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve Monk\u2019s side travel to Guilsfield in round two, who have won four of their last five league games and were 2-1 winners away at Bangor 1876 in the previous round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mold were 3-0 winners when the two sides met in the JD Cymru North in September after Guilsfield had won their previous four encounters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Llandudno have won their last three league matches to move out of the JD Cymru North relegation zone and they will hope to carry that form into the Welsh Blood Service League Cup when they travel to Llanidloes Town after beating Chirk AAA in round one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Daffs were 2-1 winners against Caersws in the first round, but they have only picked up one victory in 11 league games so far this season and are seven points adrift of safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, that one win did come against Llandudno at the end of September when Jamie Breese scored a 91st<\/sup>-minute winner to see his side triumph 3-2 at Victoria Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prestatyn Town and Ruthin Town will hope that the Welsh Blood Service League Cup provides some respite from their ongoing relegation battle in the JD Cymru North. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seasiders are currently two points above the drop zone but enjoyed their joint-biggest win of the season so far in round one of this competition as they defeated Gresford Athletic 4-1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruthin one are one place lower in the league table and only one point above the bottom three. They have won just twice in the JD Cymru North since their 3-1 round one victory over Porthmadog. Phil Hudson\u2019s side came from behind to win 2-1 when the two clubs met in the league back in August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Southern section, JD Cymru South title contenders Afan Lido host Llanelli Town just a week after the two sides met in the league and Lee John\u2019s side emerged as 3-0 winners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josh Webber scored a 92nd<\/sup>-minute winner to send Lido through against Goytre United in the first round, while last week\u2019s defeat was only their second league loss of the campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Llanelli are top of the JD Cymru South table following four successive league wins. They were 4-0 winners away at Abertillery Bluebirds in round one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Briton Ferry Llansawel reached the Southern final of the Welsh Blood Service League Cup last season and their quest to get there again continues with an away tie against Pontardawe Town on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reds squeezed through round one with a 1-0 win away at Baglan Dragons, while Ponty secured an emphatic 6-0 victory over Abergavenny Town with Joe Lloyd netting a hat-trick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jasper Payne and Luke Bowen scored two goals each as Briton Ferry triumphed 4-2 in the JD Cymru South meeting between the two sides last month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ammanford and Carmarthen Town are currently level on points in the JD Cymru South and they meet on Friday night at The Rec. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gruff Harrison\u2019s side emerged victorious in a nine-goal thriller in round one as they triumphed 5-4 away at Taffs Well with Morgan Clarke netting a hat-trick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Carmarthen also claimed an away victory in the previous round as they were 3-1 winners against Cwmbran Celtic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last two meetings between the two sides have ended 2-2, with Ammanford scoring an 89th<\/sup>-minute equaliser in January before coming from two goals down to earn a point in October. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final tie in the Southern section of the draw sees Cambrian & Clydach host Caerau Ely on Friday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cam Army are seventh in the JD Cymru South but have only won two league games since their 3-2 victory over Llantwit Major in round one of this competition at the beginning of September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caerau Ely triumphed 3-0 over Trefelin in the first round, the same side they defeated last weekend to end a three-match losing streak in the league. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two goals from Liam Reed helped Cambrian & Clydach to a 3-1 win when the two sides met in the JD Cymru South in August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
