The games keep coming thick and fast in the JD Cymru Premier, with a full round of midweek fixtures. Here are the key matches to watch. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru Premier \u2013 Penybont v Briton Ferry Llansawel (Tuesday, 7:45pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

League leaders Penybont made a statement with their 2-1 win over The New Saints on Friday night and now Rhys Griffiths\u2019 side will aim to continue their unbeaten start to the season at home to Briton Ferry Llansawel on Tuesday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victory over the Saints \u2013 which ended the champions\u2019 587-day unbeaten streak in the JD Cymru Premier \u2013 was a fifth consecutive win in all competitions for the Bont. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bottom of the table Briton Ferry got their first point of the campaign with a 1-1 draw against Flint Town United on Saturday, so Andy Dyer will hope an inaugural win in the top-flight is just around the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penybont have defeated Ferry twice already this season, with a 3-0 win in the Nathaniel MG Cup second round and 2-0 victory on the opening weekend of the league campaign thanks to James Crole\u2019s brace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru Premier \u2013 Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads v Newtown (Tuesday, 7:45pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads will aim to arrest their recent slump in form when they host Newtown on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nomads sit ninth in the JD Cymru Premier following their worst start to a season for nine years and they currently find themselves on a three-match losing streak in the league following consecutive defeats to Barry Town United, Penybont and Cardiff Met. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newtown are currently in fourth place after a bright start to the season. The Robins earned consecutive home victories over Briton Ferry Llansawel and Cardiff Met to start September, but let a two-goal slip in a 2-2 draw away at Bala Town on Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nomads won their first three matches against Newtown last season, before the sides played out a goalless draw in their most recent meeting in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Cymru Premier \u2013 Flint Town United v Caernarfon Town (Wednesday, 7:45pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flint Town United host Caernarfon Town on Wednesday, as the two sides meet for the first time since they locked horns in a relegation battle in the 2022\/23 season.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the Silkmen who ultimately went down on the final day, with the Cofis securing their safety with a 3-2 comeback win at the Essity Stadium in the penultimate fixture of the campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a point separates the two sides in 10th<\/sup> and eighth respectively ahead of their midweek meeting, with both teams drawing 1-1 away in south Wales on Saturday \u2013 Flint at Briton Ferry and Caernarfon at Barry Town United. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to their trip to Old Road, Flint had won back-to-back games against Aberystwyth Town and Haverfordwest County to move out of the relegation zone, while the Cofis have earned just one win from their last five league games. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
