Briton Ferry Llansawel claimed their first win in the JD Cymru Premier on Tuesday night as Tom Walters\u2019 stunning strike earned the Reds a shock 1-0 victory away at league leaders Penybont. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bont were unbeaten this season before the game and had beaten reigning champions TNS on Friday night, but Ferry came flying out of the traps and Walters and Kian Jenkins both saw\u00a0efforts go narrowly wide of the post in the first half.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reds were handed a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 69th<\/sup> minute when Kris Evans was hauled down in the box by Billy Borge, but Bont keeper Adam Przybek denied Walters from the penalty spot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was redemption for the Ferry forward seven minutes later though, as he received the ball 30 yards out before unleashing a thunderous strike which swerved beyond Przybek and in via the underside of the crossbar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was also drama at Park Hall, where Bala Town staged a remarkable stoppage time comeback to triumph 3-2 over The New Saints on Tuesday \u2013 a first home league defeat for the perennial champions since March 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TNS took the lead inside just five minutes as Leo Smith\u2019s superb through ball found Sion Bradley who produced a composed finish, but Bala swiftly equalised thanks to a first goal for summer signing Christian Norton who stunned the Saints with a superb solo effort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TNS substitute Dan Williams thought he had scored the winner when he met Jake Canavan\u2019s cut back with a first time finish in the 87th<\/sup> minute, but Bala had other ideas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A defence-splitting pass from Aeron Edwards played in Alex Downes to prod home an equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time, before five minutes later, substitute Hussein Mehasseb robbed the ball from Blaine Hudson and calmly finished beyond Connor Roberts to condemn TNS to back-to-back league defeats for the first time in nearly five years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardiff Met are now level on points with league leaders Penybont following their 2-1 away win at Aberystwyth Town on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met were on the front foot from the off as Aber goalkeeper Dave Jones denied Ryan Reynolds and CJ Craven while Adam Roscrow struck the post, but Roscrow eventually found the opener in the 22nd<\/sup> minute as he tapped home the rebound after Sam Jones\u2019 effort was saved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aberystwyth had not scored in their last four league matches, but ended their drought five minutes into the second half when Calum Huxley\u2019s cross was flicked on by Christoph Aziamale to teenager Devon Torry, who fired home a sweetly struck half-volley at the back post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Seasiders were only level for four minutes as CJ Craven\u2019s ball into the box kindly back out to Joel Edwards, whose calm finish into the bottom corner proved to be the winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matty Jones scored a late winner for Caernarfon Town as they triumphed 2-1 away at Flint Town United in Wednesday night\u2019s only fixture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cofis made the breakthrough after just five minutes, when Flint goalkeeper Jack Flint dropped a corner delivery on the goal line and allowed Paulo Mendes to tap in from a yard out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hosts were level five minutes before half-time when summer signing Izaack Lambert headed home his first goal for the club as he met Jake Phillips\u2019 delivery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lambert went from hero zero in the 83rd<\/sup> minute when he brought down Zack Clarke in the box, but the Caernarfon striker saw his penalty cannon off the post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nonetheless, the Cofis\u2019 winning goal arrived four minutes later when a neat team move led to Darren Thomas laying the ball off to Jones on the left hand side and the left-back unleashed a fierce low drive past Flint to snatch the three points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10-man Barry Town United picked up a hard-fought point in a 1-1 draw away to Haverfordwest County on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opener went Barry\u2019s way with 23 minutes on the clock as Mikey George\u2019s long throw into the box found its way to Callum Sainty, who coolly backheeled the ball to Ollie Hulbert who held off the Haverfordwest defence to fire home his fifth goal of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barry may have been a goal up, but they were a man down nine minutes later as Josh Yorwerth was sent off for bringing down Ben Fawcett as the Bluebirds striker was through on goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haverfordwest applied the pressure following Yorwerth\u2019s dismissal and grabbed their equaliser in first half stoppage time when Alaric Jones nutmegged George on the left hand side and delivered a cross which was met by a clinical first time finish from Ben Ahmun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newtown extended their unbeaten run to four matches in a 1-1 draw with Connah\u2019s Quay Nomads at the Essity Stadium on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nomads opened the scoring in the 32nd<\/sup> minute through former Cymru U21 international Rhys Hughes, who tapped home from Luca Hogan\u2019s low cross. Hughes nearly doubled his side\u2019s lead within a matter of minutes, but his strike from the edge of the area was denied by the crossbar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newtown got themselves back on level terms in first half stoppage time as Aaron Williams produced a superb header from George Hughes\u2019 delivery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the Robins who looked most likely to snatch a win in the second half, but a series of fine saves from Jon Rushton ensured The Nomads ended their three-match losing streak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
