The Football Association of Wales (FAW) is proud to continue its support of the Level Playing Field\u2019s Unite For Access campaign which is an annual period of inspiration and celebration of good access and inclusion at sports venues.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign runs this year from Saturday 28 February to Sunday 15 March, with a focus on raising awareness and driving equality for a more inclusive matchday experience for disabled sports fans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To improve the experiences of disabled supporters the FAW offer several services at the Cymru national team matches and Domestic Cup finals. During Cymru fixtures, fans can access free audio descriptive commentary, where trained audio describers will keep up with play to the second to ensure listeners know exactly where the ball is and what is happening on the pitch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cymru fans can book into the stadium\u2019s sensory room, which has been designed to accommodate the needs of children and young people with additional sensory needs or sensitivities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furhther to this fans with sensory needs can gain access to a free FAW Sensory Pack which has been designed to support fans, to enhance the matchday experience by making it more comfortable and enjoyable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the FAW continues to strive to improve facilities across Wales, Clubs across the country can now undertake their own evaluation of their accessibility of facilities at their Club by using the FAW\u2019s Accessibility Evaluation Toolkits for Professional, Amateur and Grassroots Clubs across Wales. Level Playing Field Chief Executive, Owain Davies, said: \u201cWe are all very positive about this year\u2019s Unite For Access campaign and are pleased to have the support of the FAW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is an important opportunity for fans, clubs and other stakeholders across Wales, to come together and celebrate access and inclusion for disabled fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAccessibility is on the agenda and I encourage everyone to be part of that. Let us Unite For Access and make attending live sport inclusive for all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
