Your club has a responsibility to ensure you are safe and protected from harm. Therefore the FAW require all clubs to have a registered Safeguarding Officer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Your Club Safeguarding Officer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is compulsory for all Small Sided & Junior football clubs to have a registered Safeguarding Officer at all times. Your club Safeguarding Officer is there to listen to you and support you with anything you may need. <\/strong>If you do not know who your Club Safeguarding Officer is, please ask your coach or you can get in contact with a member of the the FAW Safeguarding Team.\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your club Safeguarding Officer has a responsibility to protect you and your teammates from harm or deal with any concerns that may arise. In order to do this, they will have read the FAW Safeguarding Policy and this sets out the following expectations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Your welfare is the most important thing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All of your coaches must be DBS checked and registered with the FAW.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All of your coaches must have the necessary training and education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All members of the club will have a code of conduct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All members of the club must follow best practice guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Your club will not accept bullying.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Your club must investigate or report any concerns.

    Your club safeguarding officer is there to help you:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    *If at any point you do not feel safe or have any concerns at your football club, your club safeguarding officer will be available for you to talk to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    *If you do not feel safe or have any concerns outside of football, such as at home, in school, on social media, your safeguarding officer will be available for you to talk to. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
