Genero Adran Leagues Games to Watch: 3 November

A full Genero Adran Leagues schedule returns this weekend, with plenty of intriguing matchups to keep an eye on.

Genero Adran Premier – Wrexham v Briton Ferry Llansawel (Sunday, 2pm)

Briton Ferry Llansawel are the only remaining unbeaten side in the Genero Adran Premier this season and they make the trip up to Wrexham on Sunday.

The Reds have seamlessly stepped up to the top-flight following promotion in April, winning their opening three matches of the campaign before earning draws away to The New Saints and reigning champions Cardiff City.

After losing their first three games of the season, Wrexham have started to pick up form by winning two of their last three – against Aberystwyth Town and Cardiff Met – but they must now start taking points off teams above them if they are to rescue a top half spot.

With revenge on their mind following the 2023 promotion play-off defeat and a pair of cup losses last season, Briton Ferry stunned Wrexham in September’s reverse fixture as goals from Lowri Ridings, Alice Broadley and Tija Richardson earned the Reds a 3-0 win at Old Road.

Genero Adran North – Rhyl 1879 v Connah’s Quay Nomads (Sunday, 2pm)

Connah’s Quay Nomads will be aiming to make it three wins from three matches in the Genero Adran North this season when they travel to Rhyl 1879.

Jordan Parry’s youthful side have defeated Llanfair United and Felinheli in the league so far, while also achieving maximum points in their Genero Adran Trophy group to set up an exciting tie with holders Cardiff City next weekend.

Rhyl were beaten 6-0 by Llandudno on the opening weekend, but earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Bangor in their second outing. However, the Lilywhites will be hoping to bounce back from an 8-0 thrashing at the hands of Aberystwyth Town in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup a fortnight ago.

Rhyl produced one of the shocks of last season when they triumphed 2-1 over the Nomads in the two sides’ most recent meeting in March, after Parry’s team had won 8-1 earlier in the campaign.

Genero Adran South – Cwmbran Celtic v Pontypridd United (Sunday, 2pm)

The early front runners in the Genero Adran South go head-to-head on Sunday as Cwmbran Celtic host Pontypridd United.

Ponty – relegated from the Genero Adran Premier last season – currently sit top of the table on goal difference after wins over Penybont and Caldicot Town in their opening two league matches, while they come into this game off the back of victory over Bont in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

Following a third-place finish last season, Celtic have started strongly with victories against Llanelli Town and Cascade so far, but were then beaten 4-1 by Cascade in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

The two sides have already met this season in the Genero Adran Trophy group stage and it was Celtic who came out on top as Jade Crofts’ hat-trick inspired a thrilling 5-4 victory.
