Another pivotal weekend awaits in the Genero Adran Leagues, including the opportunity for the titles to be secured in the second tier. Here are the key games to keep an eye on.Â
Genero Adran Premier – Swansea City v Cardiff City (Sunday, 2pm)
A crucial afternoon awaits in the Genero Adran Premier title race as leaders Cardiff City travel to face rivals Swansea City at Llandarcy on Sunday afternoon.Â
Cardiff saw their lead at the top of the table cut to just one point after a 3-1 loss to second-place Wrexham a fortnight ago. However, the Bluebirds quickly gained revenge with a 2-1 win over the Red Dragons in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last weekend to set up a final against Swansea. Iain Darbyshire’s side will hoping to pull away from their title rivals before Swansea and Wrexham play their game in hand later this month.Â

Swansea head into this fixture with seven consecutive wins in all competitions to their name, the most recent of which saw them book their place in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup final with a 6-0 win over Cwmbran Celtic last weekend. Chloe Chivers’ four-goal haul inspired the Swans to a 5-2 victory away to The New Saints in their Phase Two opener at the beginning of March, keeping Yzzy Taylor’s side firmly in the title race.
Mikayla Cook scored in both 3-0 and 3-1 wins for Cardiff over Swansea in Phase One before the Bluebirds secured an impressive 6-0 victory in the Genero Adran Trophy – the highest winning scoreline between these two sides since May 2021.
Genero Adran North – Llandudno v Connah’s Quay Nomads (Sunday, 2pm)
Connah’s Quay Nomads will retain the Genero Adran North title if they beat Llandudno at the Go Goodwins Stadium on Sunday.Â
Connah’s Quay restored their seven-point lead at the top of the table with a gutsy 3-2 win over Llanfair United last weekend, meaning they have now gone two whole calendar years unbeaten in the second tier.
The Nomads will be without youngster Hannah Slack for the rest of their league campaign following her straight red card against Llanfair last Sunday. Jordan Parry’s side will be hoping to win the title their own way, but the Nomads will also be crowned champions if Llanfair lose away to Bangor.Â

Fifth-place Llandudno are also seeking key points themselves as they sit just one point above bottom of the table Bangor after just one win from nine games so far. Jay Thomas’ side suffered a 3-2 defeat away to Berriew last weekend, so a major turnaround is needed from the Seasiders. Â
However, Llandudno can take confidence from both of their meetings against the Nomads this season as the Seasiders earned a 2-1 victory in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup in October before holding the leaders to a goalless draw in last month’s reverse league fixture. Llandudno are the only side to have taken points off the Nomads this season.
Genero Adran South – Cardiff Met vs Cwmbran Celtic (Sunday, 2pm)
Cardiff Met could secure the Genero Adran South title when they host Cwmbran Celtic at Cyncoed Stadium on Sunday.Â
Met forward Esme Kilburn-Thompson continued her bright form with a hat-trick in a 4-0 win away to Taffs Well on Tuesday, which sent Jonathan Nash’s side six points clear at the top of the table. The Archers will clinch the title this weekend if they better the results of Pure Swansea and Carmarthen Town against Cascade and Llanelli Town respectively.

Cwmbran Celtic climbed up to fourth in the table with impressive wins over Pure Swansea (3-1) and Taffs Well (2-0) at the beginning of March, but Georgia Schwartz’ side are hoping to bounce back from a 6-0 loss to Swansea City in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup semi-finals last weekend and a 1-0 league defeat to Cascade on Tuesday. Celtic need five points from their remaining four games to achieve their highest ever points tally in the Genero Adran South.
