Genero Adran Premier leaders Cardiff City travel to bottom-of-the-table Pontypridd United on Sunday afternoon.
The Bluebirds are top of the table on goal difference after Fiona Barry’s late penalty salvaged a 1-1 draw away at second-place Wrexham a fortnight ago. Iain Darbyshire’s side have not lost since the opening day of the season and have the best defence in the division, conceding just four goals in six games so far.
Pontypridd remain without a point following promotion back to the top-flight. The Dragons led by two goals after 87 minutes against Barry Town United in their last home game two weeks ago, but collapsed late on to lose 3-2. Drew Lewis stepped down as manager after that game, with the team then losing 10-1 away at Swansea City last weekend.
Cardiff have won the last three meetings between the two sides, which all came in 2023/24, triumphing 5-1 and 2-1 in the league either side of a 3-0 victory in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

Second-place Wrexham are also on the road as they face Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue.
The Red Dragons continue to keep pace with Cardiff City as they aim to end the Bluebirds’ run of three consecutive Genero Adran Premier titles. Jenny Sugarman’s side led for over an hour when the leaders visited north Wales two weeks ago before ultimately having to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Aberystwyth were on a three-match losing streak ahead of their trip to Briton Ferry Llansawel a fortnight ago, but Carys Bufton’s hat-trick inspired the Seasiders to an impressive 3-2 comeback win over the Reds. Rhys Jon James’ side remain sixth in the table but are only outside the top half on goal difference.
Wrexham were comfortable winners in both meetings between the two sides last season, earning a 3-1 away victory before Ava Suckley’s hat-trick inspired a 7-1 triumph at home.

Barry Town United begin life under new manager James Fishlock as they host The New Saints at Jenner Park.
The Linnets’ first match without former boss Stevie McCarthy-Campbell saw them stage a dramatic late comeback to win 3-2 away at Pontypridd. Former Ponty boss Fishlock now takes over with the team in seventh place but just three points adrift of a top half spot.
TNS currently sit fourth in the table following their 2-1 home defeat against Swansea City a fortnight ago. Jodie Williams’ side have lost both of their opening two away matches of the campaign.
The Saints secured an emphatic 5-0 win at Jenner Park in Phase One last season, but were then held to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Park Hall.

Swansea City and Briton Ferry Llansawel renew their rivalry in a clash at Llandarcy.
The Swans earned an emphatic 10-1 win over Pontypridd United last weekend – the first time a top-flight side has hit double figures in a league game since 2018 – to move up to third in the table, only one point behind Cardiff City and Wrexham.
Ferry sit fifth in the table having earned nine points so far, with Rhys Thomas’ team squandering a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at home to Aberystwyth Town in their last outing – which ended their three-match winning run.
The Reds won 2-0 at home in the first meeting between the two sides last season before they shared the points in a goalless draw in the reverse fixture at Llandarcy.
