Wrexham earned the derby bragging rights against The New Saints with a 2-0 victory at The Globe in the Genero Adran Premier on Sunday.Â
In-form striker Katie Barker scored her sixth goal in five games to put the hosts ahead in the 18th minute, as she latched onto Lili Jones’ through ball and produced a composed effort beyond McKenzie Haydn-Jones.
Former Cymru U19 international Faye Knox came off the bench in the second half and bagged her first Wrexham goal to seal victory in the 81st minute, drilling home a loose ball from just inside the area.
Wrexham remain second in the Genero Adran Premier table, behind leaders Cardiff City only on goal difference.

The Bluebirds continued their perfect record at home this season with a 4-2 win over Barry Town United.
Barry kept Cardiff at bay for much of the first half, but the hosts broke the deadlock three minutes before the break when Fiona Barry sent a powerful strike beyond Molly Arnesen from distance.
An electric start to the second half saw the Bluebirds make it 3-0 by the 50th minute, as Mackenzie Olsen finished from close range for her seventh goal of the campaign before Ffion Price scored directly from a corner.
Danielle Broadhurst pulled a goal back for Barry against her former club in the 79th minute, but substitute Amy Long restored the hosts’ three-goal advantage seven minutes later. 16-year-old Millie Breen netted Barry’s second goal moments later, but it was only a consolation for the visitors.

Third-place Swansea City continue to sit just a point behind the top two after they earned a narrow 2-1 win over Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue.
The Swans were gifted the lead inside nine minutes as Lalita Egan headed Chloe Chivers’ free-kick into her own net, but the Aber teenager made amends and brought her side level just before the hour mark as she fired home after the visitors failed to deal with Shauna Chambers’ delivery.
Chivers scored what proved to be the winner for Swansea in the 70th minute as her looping cross sailed over Sophie Steele into the net, while Aber were reduced to 10 players late on when Imi Scourfield was sent off for a second bookable offence. The hosts’ woes increased following the full-time whistle as Lily Moralee-Hughes was shown a straight red card.

Megan Kearle bagged a late winner as Briton Ferry Llansawel triumphed 2-1 against bottom-of-the-table Pontypridd United at The Renewable Centre Stadium.
Ferry had several early opportunities, but Laura-May Walkley-Witts found the breakthrough four minutes before half-time as she scrambled the ball home from Lucy Powell’s corner.
Jemima Lister met Molly Jones’ free-kick and fired in at the back post to bring Ponty level on 69 minutes, but Kearle was the hero for Ferry as she raced onto Walkley-Witts’ headed pass and steered the ball beyond Alysha Hawkins with just seven minutes left on the clock.
