With fixtures at both the Cardiff City Stadium and the Racecourse, this weekend promises to be one not to be missed in the Genero Adran Premier.
The Cardiff City Stadium hosts two sides who have won their opening two matches of the season, as reigning champions Cardiff City take on league leaders The New Saints.
The Bluebirds began the campaign with a 2-0 win away at Wrexham before coming from behind to triumph 3-1 over Cardiff Met last weekend. They won all three of their matches at the Cardiff City Stadium last season, scoring 14 goals.
City have won their last 10 meetings in all competitions against TNS, including 3-1 and 5-0 victories in phase one last season.
However, this is an exciting new Saints side who have won 5-0 and 6-1 against Barry Town United and Aberystwyth Town respectively in their opening two fixtures – with summer signings scoring six of those goals.
Meanwhile, at the Racecourse, Wrexham continue to go in search of their first point of the season as they host Swansea City – live on Sgorio.
Wrexham showed signs of promise in a 2-0 opening day defeat to Cardiff City, but were then stunned by a 3-0 loss away to Briton Ferry Llansawel last weekend.
Swansea are still finding their feet under new boss Jamie Sherwood, earning a narrow 2-1 victory away at Cardiff Met on the opening weekend before being left frustrated in a goalless draw against Barry Town United at the Swansea.com Stadium last Sunday.
Briton Ferry Llansawel will be hoping to continue their perfect start to the season against Cardiff Met at Old Road.
It has been a dream return to the top-flight for Ferry as Rhys James’ side have picked up 4-0 and 3-0 wins against Aberystwyth Town and Wrexham respectively, leaving them as the only side yet to concede a goal in the Genero Adran Premier this season.
Meanwhile, Met are still looking for their first point of the campaign having lost out to Swansea City and Cardiff City despite taking the lead against both teams.
The two sides last met in the 2020/21 campaign, when it was the Archers who prevailed on both occasions with 4-0 and 6-1 victories.
Barry Town United and Aberystwyth Town go in search of their first wins of the season when they face off at Jenner Park.
Barry were beaten 5-0 at home by TNS on the opening day, but produced a gutsy performance to earn a 0-0 draw away to Swansea City last weekend.
It has been a challenging start to the campaign for Aberystwyth, who sit bottom of the table after a 3-0 loss at home to Briton Ferry and a 6-1 thrashing away at TNS.
Aber’s last away win in the Genero Adran Premier came against Barry in November last year when Lleucu Mathias’ brace secured a 2-0 victory. Mathias was also amongst the scorers in the Seasiders’ 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.
