The American-born midfielder has played in the United States, Ireland and England and spent the second half of last season with Bala Town. The club say they hope the 28-year-old will bring experience, quality on the ball and a strong mentality to the squad.
NOVIRA CYMRU NORTH
CPD Porthmadog have announced the departure of popular winger Danny Brookwell as part of the club’s plans to build for a successful season following promotion back to the Novira Cymru North. The 33-year-old established himself as a firm fans’ favourite during his three seasons at Y Traeth and leaves the club with glowing praise.
A club statement confirming the news read: “Danny has been an excellent player for the club. We are extremely grateful for his contribution on and off the pitch. He leaves with our full respect, and we wish him the very best as he steps into the next chapter of his career.”
Brookwell joined Porthmadog as a dynamic and determined player, and quickly became one of the team’s most familiar faces. His pace in attack, tireless work rate, and positive attitude were qualities that impressed supporters and squad alike.
There’s been a steady stream of signings at Clos Mytton as Guilsfield manager Gavin Allen makes several additions to his squad, including the return of the 2024/25 Managers’ Player of the Season, Joe Haycock.
“It’s great to have Joe back at the club after a year away,” said Allen. “He brings plenty of quality and experience back to the squad and we’re looking forward to seeing him back out on the pitch.”

The Guilsfield boss also has high hopes for young striker Billy Clarke, who makes the step up to the Cymru North from Llanrhaeadr FC.
“He’s scored plenty of goals at Tier 3 and now it’s time for him to step up and show the potential we know he has. I’m looking forward to working with him on a one-to-one basis to help further his development, and hopefully, we’ll see him scoring plenty at this level.”
The Guils have also confirmed the arrivals of Llanfair United captain Jack Jones, Alex Buxton, Harvey Jones, and Ellis Turner. Well-travelled goalkeeper Mike Jones also returns, having featured for Newtown last season.
Mold Alexandra’s newest signing, Dan Collins, believes his new side can compete at the top end of the table this season after completing a switch from Airbus UK Broughton.
“I’m delighted to have signed for such a great club,” said the midfielder. “After training with the boys, they’ve shown real quality and determination to compete at the higher end of this league. I’m buzzing to get the season started and hopefully add plenty of goals and assists to the team this year.”

Denbigh Town have moved to sign 18-year-old forward Ffranc Vaughan-Evans, who arrives following his release by Crewe Alexandra.
“Ffranc comes from four good years at Crewe where he’s grown as a player, and now comes to us ready to play senior football,” said manager Dewi Llion. “He’s a big lad for his age, so at 18 there’s loads of scope to improve. He has already shown his quality this summer, and I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing what he can do at Central Park.”
