Newtown are the only side with an unbeaten record remaining in the Novira Cymru North as the Robins earned a statement 1-0 win over title favourites Bala Town at Maes Tegid on Monday.
Bala came extremely close to taking the lead four minutes into the second half through summer signing Emmanuel Osilaja, who met Tomas Jones’ cross but saw his header denied by the post.
Newtown’s winning goal arrived just seven minutes after Osilaja’s chance as new signing Rian O’Riordan produced a bicycle kick across goal which was turned home by Joylon Harries, who scored his first competitive goal since December 2023 to continue the Robins’ stellar form. Jay Owen’s side are now up to second in the table and have still only conceded one goal this season.
Early frontrunners Brickfield Rangers opened up a two-point lead at the top of the table with their 2-0 win over Ruthin Town at Clywedog Park.
Brickfield took just 10 minutes to find the breakthrough as Sam Flory flicked the ball onto Josh Evans, who fired home his second goal of the season.
Brickfield captain Ryan Williams then doubled his side’s advantage three minutes before half time with his first competitive goal in almost four years. Gary Wilson’s saw out the second half to make it five wins from their first six matches.
Ryan Knott scored a hat-trick as Guilsfield produced a convincing display to triumph 4-0 against Penrhyncoch at Clos Mytton.
Rhys Tilsley got Guilsfield up and running after just 15 minutes played as the youngster prodded the ball home at the back post from Harvey Jones’ free-kick.
Billy Clarke hit the post for the Guils later in the first half, but the hosts were not denied moments into the second period as Knott headed in from another pinpoint cross from Jones.
Knott clipped the ball past the outrushing Leigh Jenkins to make it 3-0 before the striker completed his hat-trick from close range by tapping in from Jack Jones’ header back across goal. Gavin Allen’s side saw out the remainder of the match to keep their first league clean sheet of the season.
Mold Alexandra climbed up to third in the table with a statement 2-1 victory over Bangor 1876 at Alyn Park.
The contest remained goalless for over an hour, but Morgan Roberts popped up to put Mold ahead before veteran Dafydd Griffith doubled the advantage with his first goal for the club since December 2024.
Guto Williams headed home from Jack Burman’s corner deep into stoppage time to get Bangor on the scoresheet, but it was too late for the visitors to stage a comeback as they fell to defeat in their first game since former manager Mike Johnston’s departure.
Porthmadog came from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw with Holyhead Hotspur at the Yates Renewable Energies Stadium.

It was a frantic start in Anglesey as Porthmadog’s Dylan Summers-Jones missed a penalty inside just four minutes moments before Nathan Williams scored his first Holyhead goal to put the hosts ahead and haunt his former club.
Jamie Jones quickly added a second goal for Holyhead, who seemed to be in control at the break, but were ultimately stunned in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Port were awarded another penalty, which was also missed, this time by Morgan Owen, but the rebound fell kindly to Owen’s fellow Caernarfon Town loanee Osian Ellis, who tucked away the rebound to half the deficit. Summers-Jones then redeemed himself for his early penalty miss as the forward equalised for the visitors to salvage a point on the road.
Rhyl 1879 got back on track with a 3-1 victory over struggling Denbigh Town at Central Park.
Denbigh started on the front foot and nearly took the lead after just four minutes as Nathan Brown struck the crossbar. However, they would not have to wait much longer for the opening goal as Tom Kelly finished off a swift counter-attack.
Despite their early danger though, Rhyl immediately drew level thanks to Brad Barnes, who received Morgan Murray’s lay-off on the edge of the area and placed his effort into the bottom corner.
Barnes was forced off through a nasty injury just seven minutes after scoring against his former club, but the Lilywhites continued to settle into the game and completed the turnaround in first half stoppage time as Dan Cockerline controlled Murray’s pass and fired home.
Murray’s afternoon got even better as he put the result beyond doubt late in the day with a clinical finish for his first goal of the campaign. The result was also Rhyl’s biggest away victory in league competition for almost 18 months.
Caersws continued their bright start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Buckley Town at the Caersws Recreation Ground.
Neither side were able to create any major opportunities in the first half, but Ash Harries came up with the moment of magic that was needed as he drove forward and sent a powerful effort into the bottom corner from distance.
Jared Marks built on his goal against Porthmadog last Friday to put the game to bed as the youngster slotted home from close range after near work from Tom Edwards down the left-hand side. The Bluebirds have now claimed 10 points from their opening five games and are yet to concede a single goal at their home ground.
Llanuwchllyn returned to winning ways as goals from Will Owen and Tomos Evans sealed a 2-0 win over Gresford Athletic at Village Hall.
Gresford had the chance to take the lead on the half-hour as Damase Kiwanda stood over a penalty, but he was unable to convert from the spot. Kiwanda’s miss proved costly as Owen put Llanuwchllyn ahead on the stroke of half time.
Evans gave the hosts comfort in the 73rd minute with his first goal since February as Sion Tudor’s side continued their unbeaten home run in 2026.
