
The shortlist for the September Player and Manager of the Month awards in the Novira Cymru Leagues has been confirmed.
The fans’ vote will be combined with a league and independent voting panel to determine the winners.

Manager of the Month
Rhys Griffiths – Penybont
It was a perfect month for Rhys Griffiths and his Penybont side as they claimed five wins from five games. The team kept two clean sheets and scored 12 goals in the process with victories over Colwyn Bay, Trefelin, Briton Ferry Llansawel, Ammanford and Airbus UK Broughton to move into second place in the table.

Craig Harrison – The New Saints
The New Saints matched Penybont during September by also claiming 15 points from their five league games. The champions stay top of the table and conceded just two goals last month, and Craig Harrison’s side now head into October with a four-point lead over their nearest rivals.
Michael Wilde – Colwyn Bay
Despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to Penybont on the first weekend of the month, Michael Wilde’s Colwyn Bay responded with four straight victories, which included scoring five goals against both Holywell Town and Barry Town United.
Player of the Month
Jordan Davies – Colwyn Bay
The 30-year-old enjoyed a successful month with four goals for his side, including a brace in the 5-0 win over Holywell Town. Davies was also on target in the 2-1 win over Connah’s Quay Nomads and in the 5-2 victory over Barry Town United.
Liam Eason – Cambrian United
The striker had a big influence on a successful September for Cambrian United as Liam Eason scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Holywell Town before adding another double in the 4-0 victory against Trefelin. Eason then added a further goal and an assist for his side in the 4-3 win over Llandudno last week.
Solomon Forde – Colwyn Bay
The 21-year-old has played every minute of every game for Colwyn Bay during September as the side claimed four wins from five games. Forde scored the decisive goal in the 2-1 victory over Connah’s Quay Nomads and was on target again in the 5-2 win over Barry Town United.

Callum West – Connah’s Quay Nomads
Following a number of impressive performances in August, Callum West continued that form into September as the young star of this Nomads side scored another two goals and registered four assists as his side claimed 10 points from their five matches.

Manager of the Month
Dave Evans – Buckley Town
Buckley Town have not only enjoyed an undefeated month but have scored an impressive 14 goals in just three league games. A 5-0 win over Penrhyncoch was followed by a 3-3 draw with Rhyl 1879, but Dave Evans’ side made headlines last weekend with a resounding 6-2 win away to Bangor City 1876.
Barry Owen – Mold Alexandra
Mold Alexandra were also undefeated during September and Barry Owen’s side were not shy in front of goal as they scored 11 across their three fixtures. A 5-1 win over Gresford Athletic started the month in style before a 2-2 with Llanuwchllyn was followed by an impressive 4-2 victory at Bala Town.
Gareth Wilson – Brickfield Rangers
Brickfield Rangers manager Gareth Wilson can celebrate heading into October at the top of the table following three 2-0 victories as his side defeated Guilsfield, Caersws and Denbigh Town by the same score. With just one defeat this season, they now have a four-point advantage at the top.

James Davies – Llanuwchllyn
The 33-year-old scored six goals for Llanuwchllyn during September, most notably scoring all four goals in the 4-0 win over Holyhead Hotspur. Davies continued his form into the next match against Caersws by scoring both goals, but his side suffered a 5-2 defeat.
Ben Guest – Buckley Town
Another player finding his form in front of goal in September was Buckley Town’s Ben Guest as he found the back of the net five times. Guest was on target in the 5-0 win over Penrhyncoch, scored twice in the 3-3 draw with Rhyl 1879 and then added another brace in the impressive 6-2 win over Bangor City 1876.
Luca Hogan – Mold Alexandra
It was an impressive month for the 21-year-old as Luca Hogan scored four goals and contributed two assists for Mold Alexandra in September. Hogan scored twice in the 5-1 win over Gresford Athletic, scored again in the 2-2 draw with Llanuwchllyn and then found the back of the net in the 4-2 win at Bala Town.

Matty Williams – Brickfield Rangers
Ever-present for league leaders Brickfield Rangers during September, Matty Williams has played a key role in the side extending their lead at the top of the table. Williams also helped out with scoring duties for the side as he added the second goal in the 2-0 win away to Caersws.

Manager of the Month
Karl Lewis – Llantwit Major
An undefeated month for Llantwit Major in the Novira Cymru South as a 1-1 draw with Treowen Stars was followed by a 2-0 win over Llanelli Town. This marked an important turnaround in fortunes for Karl Lewis and his side as they lost all four games in August.
Jack Midwinter – Pure Swansea
It has also been an undefeated month for Jack Midwinter and his Pure Swansea side as their resounding 4-0 win over Pontardawe Town was followed by a 0-0 draw at Aberystwyth Town in the top of the table contest last weekend. The side now head into October as league leaders by a single point.

Ben Stait – Caerau Ely
It was a perfect month for new Caerau Ely manager Ben Stait as his side claimed a 3-0 win over Llanelli Town before beating Cardiff Draconians 3-1 away. The side have now scored three goals in each of their last three games under Stait to move into the top half of the table.
Player of the Month
Toby Jones – Baglan Dragons
It has been an impressive start to the season for Baglan Dragons and Toby Jones has come to prominence for the side during September. The 23-year-old scored both goals in the 2-1 local derby win over Afan Lido and was also on target against Cardiff Draconians and Carmarthen Town.
Jacob Lund – Pure Swansea
With a goal and an assist in the 4-0 win over Pontardawe Town, Jacob Lund scored his first of the season in the comfortable victory. However, his performances at the back have contributed to Pure Swansea having the best defence in the league and they did not concede a single goal in September.
Finley Skiverton – Caerphilly Athletic
Although Caerphilly Athletic suffered two defeats in their two league games in September, it was Finley Skiverton who scored all three of their goals. The 22-year-old scored twice in the 3-2 defeat against Aberystwyth Town before adding the consolation goal in the 2-1 loss to Pontypridd United.

James Williams – Caerau Ely
The captain has been an integral figure for Caerau Ely this season and registered an assist for his side in the 3-0 win over Llanelli Town. The side enjoyed a perfect September with two victories from their two games having also claimed a 3-1 win over Cardiff Draconians.
