Cymru North and South fixtures selected for live broadcast on Cymru Football TV

Two first tier two fixture selected for live broadcast on Cymru Football TV will see Newtown host Buckley Town at Latham Park on Saturday 31 October (KO 19:45).

Newtown will be looking to make home advantage count. They have a perfect record away from home this season, but their recent form at Latham Park has seen them drop points against Porthmadog and fellow promotion hopefuls Bangor City 1876.

Their biggest strength has been their defence, with Jay Owen’s side conceding just three goals all season. They will be hoping to keep another clean sheet against an in-form Buckley Town side.

The visitors will be looking to claim another valuable result on the road. The Bucks have already upset several promotion hopefuls away from home this season, picking up wins at Bala and Bangor City 1876. Dave Evans has been able to turn to Ben Guest for inspiration, with the midfielder picking up 10 goal contributions across their 11 league games.

Buckley came out on top in both meetings between the sides last season, recording a 3-0 victory at home before a 2-0 win at Latham Park.

The following week, the first Novira Cymru South fixture to feature on Cymru Football TV will see Carmarthen Town welcome Aberystwyth Town to the LHP Stadium on Saturday 7 November (KO 19:45).

The home side made a flying start to the season, picking up three wins from their opening three games, but have since found victories harder to come by. They have won just one of their last seven games, while they have scored and conceded in every league fixture this season. Lewis Reed has been their main attacking outlet, with the forward registering six goals.

Aberystwyth Town had been enjoying a run of six league games unbeaten before suffering defeat at home to fellow promotion hopefuls Caerau Ely. Aaron Williams has settled in well since his move to the west coast, scoring six league goals so far this season.

Carmarthen Town had the better of the two sides in their league meetings last season, securing a 1-0 victory at home before playing out a 1-1 draw at Park Avenue.

Both games will be accessible to supporters who have existing annual or monthly subscriptions to Cymru Football TV, while individual game passes for the two matches will be priced at £6.99 each.
