Novira Cymru Leagues support Show Racism the Red Card Month of Action 2026

Fixtures across the Novira Cymru Leagues this weekend (30-31 October) will be dedicated to Show Racism the Red Card.

The Novira Cymru Leagues are proud to support Show Racism the Red Card’s Month of Action 2026, uniting clubs, players, coaches, match officials and supporters across the domestic game to challenge racism and discrimination.

Taking place throughout October, the campaign highlights the importance of education, awareness and collective responsibility in creating a football environment where everyone feels welcome and respected. As Show Racism the Red Card marks its 40th year as an organisation, the Month of Action offers an opportunity to recognise the charity’s work in challenging racism through education and campaigning, while reinforcing the need for continued action across football and wider society.

Football has the power to unite communities, influence attitudes and inspire positive change. The Cymru Leagues are committed to supporting this message and ensuring the game continues to be a place where people from all backgrounds can participate and enjoy football without fear of discrimination.

The dedicated weekend will provide Clubs with an opportunity to stand together against racism, using the reach and influence of football to deliver a clear and united message. Through visible support for the campaign, players, officials and supporters can help raise awareness, encourage conversations about racism and demonstrate that discrimination will not be tolerated in Welsh football.

While the Month of Action provides a dedicated moment to highlight the campaign, challenging racism must remain a priority throughout the season. Racism continues to occur both on and off the pitch, making it vital that everyone involved in the game recognises their responsibility to challenge discrimination whenever they encounter it.

The Novira Cymru Leagues are proud to support the Football Association of Wales and Show Racism the Red Card in their work to promote equality, diversity and inclusion across the football pyramid.

In its 40th year as an organisation, Show Racism the Red Card continues to highlight the importance of education in changing attitudes and empowering people to challenge racism. The campaign is an important reminder that meaningful progress depends on sustained action from individuals, clubs and communities alike.

Clubs across Wales are encouraged to support Show Racism the Red Card’s Month of Action by promoting the campaign, sharing anti-racism messages and encouraging players, staff and supporters to stand against discrimination. Every action helps reinforce the message that racism has no place in football or society.

If you see or hear racism at any level of football, please report it to the nearest steward or club official. You can also report an incident through the FAW’s Report It platform or by emailing ReportIT@faw.co.uk.
