2023/24 Nathaniel MG Cup third round draw

Following the weekend’s round two ties, the third round draw for the 2023/24 Nathaniel MG Cup took place today (Monday 7 August) – conducted by Cymru C manager Mark Jones.

Wildcard entries Swansea City and Cardiff City have both impressed in the competition so far and they have been drawn against each other in an enticing tie.

Porthmadog’s reward for getting past Caernarfon Town on penalties is a trip to JD Cymru Premier champions The New Saints, while Penybont’s conquerors Afan Lido face another away tie at 2019 cup winners Cardiff Met.

Holders Bala Town travel to a Guilsfield side who knocked out Newtown on penalties in the second round, while the only all JD Cymru Premier clash comes between Aberystwyth Town and Pontypridd United.

Prestatyn Town and Ammanford both progressed on penalties at the weekend and they both have home ties in round three against Colwyn Bay and Briton Ferry Llansawel respectively.

JD Cymru North sides Buckley Town and Gresford Athletic were both 3-0 winners on Saturday afternoon and they will now meet in round three.

The ties will take place on 19-20 September.
