The new JD Cymru Premier season got under way last weekend and fans flocked to the opening matches of the campaign.
The six matches attracted a combined attendance of 4,104 people – a 44.9% increase in the total attendance on Matchday One last season.
The biggest crowd was at the Blue Turtle Arena where 1,516 supporters took in Colwyn Bay’s return to the top-flight as they drew 1-1 with the Connah’s Quay Nomads. It was the largest attendance for a non play-off fixture in the JD Cymru Premier since December 2011.
More than 800 fans attended Ogi Bridge Meadow as 10-man Penybont narrowly beat Haverfordwest County 1-0. The Bont took a strong travelling contingent to West Wales and were rewarded for their efforts.
Newly promoted Llanelli Town were hosting their first top-flight match in over six years and boasted an attendance of over 600 as Barry Town United won 2-0 at Stebonheath.
