After the conclusion of the 2024 Summer Transfer Window, which closed on 30 August, JD Cymru Premier Clubs have submitted to the League a squad list from now until the opening of the Winter Transfer Window.
Clubs must comply with a number of rules for the submission of their squad list.
Squad List Size
Clubs must include a minimum of 18 players on the squad list and a maximum of 25 players.
Recognised Goalkeepers
Clubs must include a minimum of 2 players on the squad list who are recognised goalkeepers.
Home Grown Players
A Club must include a minimum of 8 players who meet the definition of ‘Home Grown’ on their squad list.
‘Home Grown Player’ means a Player who, irrespective of nationality, has previously been registered with the FAW to play for a Club and/or any other club affiliated to the FAW (whether directly or via the FAW’s area associations) as a Junior Player and/or a Youth Player for at least two (2) full consecutive Playing Seasons prior to the Playing Season in question.
Professional Contracts
All players included on the squad list must be registered with their Club on a professional contract.
Under-19 Players
Any player who has attained the age of 16 and not attained the age of 19 by 31 August 2005 do not need to be included on the squad list, but remain eligible for selection to play in the Cymru Premier.
