JD Cymru Premier round-up | Barry Town United and Bala Town score stoppage-time winners

Ollie Hulbert scored a 96th-minute winner for Barry Town United as the Linnets came from behind to triumph 3-2 away at Caernarfon Town on Sunday.

The Cofis led 2-1 at the break with Louis Lloyd and Adam Davies finding the net either side of a superb strike from distance from Harrison Bright, but a red card for Phil Mooney in the 38th minute gave them a challenge in the second half.

Jordan Cotterill equalised in the 56th minute when he squeezed a shot into the bottom corner, before Hulbert sparked wild scenes of Barry celebrations in stoppage time with a stunning hit curled past Hari Thomas.

Bala Town also netted a dramatic stoppage-time winner to triumph 3-2 away at Aberystwyth Town on Friday night.

Goals from Josh Ukek and George Newell earned the Lakesiders a 2-1 lead at Park Avenue, before Luca Hogan appeared to have earned the hosts a point when he curled home a superb equaliser just two minutes after coming off the bench in the closing stages.

However, in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Ukek volleyed home from Newell’s knock down to clinch the three points for Bala who move up to fifth in the table.

Connah’s Quay Nomads lost a home league game for the first time since January 2022 as Haverfordwest County earned a 2-1 victory at the Essity Stadium.

Luke Tabone’s first goal for the Bluebirds broke the deadlock after 23 minutes before Ryan Harrington’s fierce drive from outside of the box drew the Nomads level on 31 minutes.

But just two minutes later, a mix up in the hosts’ defence allowed Ben Fawcett to finish into an empty net for what proved to be the winner.

Colwyn Bay earned their biggest league win of the season by triumphing 3-0 away at Pontypridd United on Sunday.

Udi Akpan’s header gave the Seagulls the advantage in the first half, before Tom McCready scored from the penalty spot after the break and Jamie Cumming wrapped up the win two minutes later.

Penybont and Newtown had to settle for a point each following a 1-1 draw at the SDM Glass Stadium on Sunday.

After a goalless first half, Robins defender Dom Smith opened the scoring early in the second period as he headed in from Matty Jones’ corner before Chris Venables equalised on 71 minutes when he smashed home from inside the box.
