Llanelli Town clinched the JD Cymru South title despite a 1-1 draw against Afan Lido on Friday night.
After two consecutive second-place finishes, the trophy finally belongs to the Reds after a season-long tussle with Trethomas Bluebirds.
Lee John’s side made a slow start to the campaign, drawing four of their opening five matches, but soon clicked into gear as they won 11 out of 14 games in a run between October and February.
With just two league defeats to their name all season, the Reds have proved tough to beat.
The signing of Liam Eason from Pontypridd United in January was a pivotal moment, with the striker scoring 10 goals in 11 games to complement the likes of Ethan Cann and Danny Williams in Llanelli’s attack.
The Reds also have the best defence in the division, with goalkeeper Scott Coughlan keeping nine clean aided by veteran defender Sean Cronin and youngsters Taylor Jones and James Lester.

“First of all I want to credit Trethomas, they’ve given us a real challenge right to the death,” Lee John said.
“But we’ve worked so hard over the last three or four seasons to be where we are now. We said at the start of the season that our aim was to win the league and to have a good cup run and we’ve achieved that.
“We’ve achieved that in difficult times as well. We’ve lost our talisman in Ethan [Cann], we’ve had numerous players injured, Sean Cronin has played tonight with a fractured foot. It just shows the determination we have in the group and the desire to reach our objectives.”
The Reds will lift the JD Cymru South trophy after their final game of the season against Trefelin at Stebonheath Park on Saturday 12 April.
